1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />January 27, 1975 <br />Mr. Zelinka felt that two years is too long to issue a special use permit. <br />He felt that if Mr. Tobish is making an honest effort, then this could <br />be considered, but if his request is merely a subterfuge to circumvent <br />the Ordinance, then proof of what he is doing should be presented to this <br />Council. <br />Mr. Marier felt that this is an Ordinance violation and should be <br />considered as such. The Ordinance should be enforced as written. Mr. <br />Tobish had appeared over one year ago and was given instructions at that <br />time on what he should do. He had not complied with the instructions <br />and is doing now what he should have done at that time. Mr. Marier felt <br />the matter should be continued in the courts and the Ordinance should <br />be enforced. <br />There was a discussion on the fact that no work has been started by Mr. <br />Tobish; the Council would require some sort of proof of what he was doing; <br />two years being too long a time to issue e Speical Use Permit. <br />Mr. Marier moved to let the action follow the normal course throught the <br />courts and abide by the Ordinance. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion <br />carried with Mr. Zelinka abstaining. <br />Mr. Jaworski advise Mr. Tobish that on the conclusion of the Court action <br />he is to follow procedure to obta in; permission to retain the trailer <br />at the location. <br />Mayor Bohjanen requested the Clerk to contact Mr. Lee Starr and ask that <br />he attend the hearing before the Human Resources Commission on <br />January 10, 1975 in connection with the Whispering Pines Plat. <br />Mr. Charles Cape, Civil Defense Director, gave the yearly report on the <br />activities of the Lino Lakes Civil Defense. He reported that Mr. William <br />Flynn, District Director, will be at the next CD meeting and the Council <br />members are invited to attend. There was over 1,000 man hours given to <br />the City in various activities in the past year. He afso gave a report <br />on the preparations for the blizzard. <br />Mr. McLean made note of the fact that the City is currently operating <br />under 1974 salary schedule and will do so until such time as the Council <br />acts on the new salary schedule. <br />Mr. Jaworski made some comments on the position paper now being prepared <br />and felt that it needed. more work. Mr. Marier and Mr. McLean plan to <br />finalize the paper this weekend. <br />The requisition for the lettering' of the new squad car was questioned. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to check into the possibility of using a die cut for <br />an emblem for future use. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Zelinka asked about the status of Mr. Backlin. He felt some <br />disposition of this should be takne care of soon. Mayor Bohjanen said <br />no d (bcision can be made until the status of Mr. Backlin's health is <br />determined. Mr. Locher said that his Workman's Compensation would be <br />endangered if his employment status were to be. changed. This matter was <br />tabled until more information is available. <br />
