1 <br />1 <br />APRIL 28, 1975 <br />would request that this letter be read into the Legislative Record. There <br />was some discussion on the wording of the letter and some revisions were <br />made. The Clerk is to type the edited copy and have it ready for a <br />special meeting to be held before the Board of Review on Thursday, <br />May 1, 1975. <br />The subject of Mr. Burandt's interview with the Circulating Pines and <br />the responses to that article by Mr. Boland to Mayor Bohjanen were dis- <br />cussed. Mr. Marier suggested restating the motion to delay the legal <br />action. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to pass the following Resolution: "Leagal action to <br />be delayed in order to give the Metropolitan Council an opportunity to <br />demonstrate, to take action and to show good faith in their promises to <br />Lino Lakes in respect to development and sewer committments." Seconded <br />by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />In conjunction with this same subject, a letter from Mr. Hall, Mayor of <br />Burnsville was read in regards to the legal action instigated by Dakota <br />County. No action was taken on this. <br />Mayor Bohjanen had received a letter from a lumber company in Wisconsin <br />interested in the removal of diseased trees. <br />Mayor Bohjanen had received a request from the local Boy Scout Troop to <br />designate Saturday, May 10, 1975 as a Clean -Up Day. Mr. Marier so moved. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Bohjanen asked if the Council wished to consider the Ordinance <br />covering an establishment that sell 3.2% beer. Mr. Jaworski moved to <br />table until the May 12, 1975 meeting. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion <br />carried. <br />The condition of a partially burned house located on the curve of Birch <br />Street was discussed. Mr. Marier moved to have the Police, Building <br />Inspector and the Fire Inspector inspect this structure and enforce the <br />Ordinance. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Under Old Business, Mr. Marier asked if there was a name to be submitted <br />for replacing Mr. L'Allier on the Planning and Zoning Board? Mayor <br />Bohjanen said, No, not at this time. He will try to have names for <br />this Board and the Park Board for consideration on Thursday. <br />Mr. Locher reported that the had contacted Mr. Cichy on the condition of <br />the area around the burned out Oasis. Mr. Cichy had contacted his insurance <br />company and said that clean -up would start immediately. Acting Chief Myhre <br />said that work was being done there. <br />Mr. Locher also reported on the status of the $50,000.00 on CD on deposit <br />in the State Bank in South Saint Paul. This CD is intact and must remain <br />so until released by the City. Mr. Jandric was under the impression that <br />a portion of this amount had been used. Mr. Locher also reported on some <br />35 lots and several outlots that are now owned by NSP with a repurchase <br />option of two years to Mr. Jandric. Mr. Locher had talked with a Mr. Dick <br />Johndahl and was told that NSP plans to pay the back taxes and assessments. <br />
