Saturday and Sundays are to be left open and
only an occasional game on Fridays. The scheduling will be done on a
'first come -first served' basis.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Santo asked about the small park located in the LaMotte
Addition East of Centerville Lake. They wondered if a ball field could
be put in that area this year. Some of the Board members were unaware of
the location of a Park in that area. Some checking will be done and a
report will be made at the next Park Board meeting.
Mr. Beach, Tree Inspector, was also present to discuss the possibility
of using the back of the Hall property for the disposal of diseased
trees. Mr. McLean said that an area had been designated for that purpose.
Mr. Beach said that in areas where no attendant is present, the site soon
becomes a dumping ground for all rubbish. This aspect was discussed with
no decision being made. This is a decision for Council consideration.
Mrs. LaForge was present to discuss the needs of the Little League Fields.
The use of ag lime for mixing with the present playing surface was dis-
cussed and the need for fencing. Mrs. LaForge will get the schedule
into the City Office as as possible for the coming season.
Mr. McLean suggested that a questionnaire be sent to a selected number
of residents of Lino Lakes asking for their suggestions as to what
should or should not be included in the development of the Chain of
Lakes Park. This idea will be presented to the Advisory Committee for
this Park.
Mr. Volk was asked to prepare specs for backstops and have for the next
meeting.
Mr. Jaworski asked Mr. Volk for a report on the streets. Mr. Volk gave
the Council a copy of the proposed work and the cost estimates. Mr.
Jaworski said that they had covered most of the streets in the City and
felt that the problem is due to water underneath and not the present ..rains.
Mr. Marier asked if any sealing has been done? Mr. Jaworski said No it's
been too wet. Mr. Marier said most of the county's are doing this now and
it should be started soon in order to preserve the streets. Mr. Marier
asked if the snow fence has been picked up? Mr. Volk said some has but
most has not been picked up although it is all rolled.
Mr. Jaworski had proposed a letter to be sent to the Governor with a copy
of Mr. Franchett's letter attached. This letter is to be sent to Sen.
Milton, Rep. Neison and Senators Conzemius and Chenoweth. Mr. Jaworski
