!FP
JULY 28, 1975 .8 5
1
After discussion of the needed correction in the contract, Mr. Marier
moved to approve the contract with the necessary corrections. This
contract to hold for only the Country Lakes area. Seconded by Mr.
Jaworski. Motion carried.
Mr. Locher returned to the minutes covering the hearings held in conjunction
with the Shenandoah plat. The Planner's recommendation had been for construct-
ion on every other lot until such time as utility services were available.
A resident of Shenandoah said the systems are failing and he asked what
conditions, if any, would the Council approve a holding tank for that
area? If not a holding tank, does the Council have any type of proposal
suggestions for consideration to solve the existing problem in that area?'
Is Northway Construction under any obligatin? Does the City have any
obligations? Is the holding tank contingent upon the installation of
the interceptor?
Mr. Locher said that mains and laterals must be built to coincide with
the interceptor. Until the type of interceptor is decided the internal
system cannot be installed. Therefore, a holding tank is of no use until
these decision are made.
Mr.Marier.felt that this person was asking questions that this Council
cannot answer. The answers must come from the Metropolitan Council.
The resident asked if this problem is strictly that of the residents?
Mr. Locher said, Yes, the brunt of it is but the approval must come
from the Metro Council.
Rep. Nelsen said that if the PCA had entered this investigation, that
would make this a problem of Metropolitan Concern. He also felt that
this could be to the advantage of the residents. PCA can force the in-
stallation of the interceptor.
Mr. Locher had checked the application for a liquor license transfer
from Lawrence and Monica Cichy to Mr. Neis, Mr. Fynboh and Mr. Winnicki.
Mr. Locher had found all papers in order with the exception of one signature.
Mr. Marier moved to approve the license transfer with the addition of that
signature. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried.
Mr. Dick Bodick said that the ditch that is being cleaned out on Orange
Street is being cleaned on the wrong side of the street. Mr. Jaworski
apologized and said that it would be taken care of the following day.
Mr. Bodick said that he only wanted, to fill his lot, not erect a building.
Mr. Marier said that he had reported that he wanted to build up the 4ot
lot, not a building. Mr. Marier said that his instruction to contact the
Engineer was still necessary.
Under old business, Mr. Jaworski asked if letters had been written to the
men interviewed for the Patrolman's position and had not been selected?
No action had been taken by either the Clerk's office or the Police office
on the follow through. Mr. Jaworski asked if this would put the responsibility
on both offices? Mr. Marier said, Yes. Mayor Bohjanen felt that all letters
should come from the Clerk's office.
