1
AUGUST 11, 1975
questions to ask in regards to the consideration of the responsibilites and
operations of the Clerk's Office.
Mr. Zelinka reminded the Council that the decision to delay the discussion
on Mr. Volk was a Council decision and the Personnel Commission has no
further report to make in that consideration. Mr. Marier moved to table
this matter until the last meeting in September. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka.
Motion carried.
Cheif Myhre reported on the experimental patrolling done by the
animal control. Judging by the number of calls received there were far
less calls during the time there was patrolling. Since the patrol
has ceased, the number of calls have increased. Chief Myhre said based
on these facts, the patrol had been successful. He reported that the Animal
Control Office seemed to feel that two hours a week would be sufficient
for this area.
Mr. Marier moved to try the animal patrol for two hours a week for the
next two weeks with a report as to the effectiveness at the next Council
Meeting. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried.
Mr. Jaworski asked why some of the employees do not have Social Security
eithheld from their salaries. The Clerk said occasional or seasonal
part time employees are not eligible. She was instructed to check and
ascertain just when and when not to deduct for Social Security and PERA.
Mr. Jaworski also questioned the differences in the withholding of
several of the employees. One has extra money withheld, one is single
with no exemptions, one takes two exemptions on his Federal withholding.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the requisitions withholding numbers
598 and 599 for clairfication. The numbers approved are 593, 596, 597and
600. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried.
Mr. Zelinka said he had read the memo from Mr. Volk on the work accomplished
but he would like to see a list of the work to be done in the next two
weeks.
Mr. Marier explained what had transpired at the beginning of this meeting
and that certain work is to be started no later than Monday, August 18, 1975.
Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the checks No. 3075 through and including #
3094. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried.
Mr. Jaworski moved to approve Payroll Checks No. 3075 through and including
No. 3094. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka.
