0
NOVEMBER 24, 1975
Mr. Locher had the deeds for the extension of Maple Street from Mr. Hallblade
and Mr. Dieley. This is an 800' easement for street and utilities and goes
to the center section line on the West.
Mr. Jaworski asked if there is a map showing this easement and Mr. Locher said,
No. Mr. Jaworski thought there should be one for the Engineer. Mr. Locher
said he would provide such a map.
Mr. Jaworski moved to accept this easement. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion
carried.
Mr. Locher reported he had had calls on the Roberts operation on Holly
Drive. He referred the calls to the Anoka County Health Department. That
department had checked but had been refused entry for an inspection. The
Health:- Department had asked for a seach warrant. Mr. Locher said such a
warrant can be issued or he can contact Mr. Roberts.
Mr. Jaworski asked what the problem was and Mr.Locher said the complaints
had been of refuse blowing around, the stench and the possibility of
the feeding of garbage to the pigs.
Mayor Bohjanen said that he had stopped and talked to Mr. Robert's son. The
son said they were feeding old bread from a bakery and that the wrappers are
left on the bread. This apparently is the paper blowing around. Mayor Bohjanen
had asked them to clean up this litter and he had been assured this would be
taken care of. Mayor Bohjanen was told that they are not feeding garbage and
they seemed receptive to his suggestion of cleaning up the area.
Mr. McLean said the Special Use Permit was issued with .limitation as to
the number of pigs that could be fed there and there was to be no feeding
of garbage. If these stipulations have been violated, this could be a basis
for approach. The operation must conform to the requirements.
Mr. McLean moved to have Mr. Locher contact Mr. Roberts. If the problem is not
resolved, then to obtain a search warrant. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion
carried.
Under Old Business, Mayor Bohjanen said it is necessary to reschedule a hearing
for the proposed Dog Ordinance. The scheduled meeting had been cancelled dut
to the storm. Mr. Jaworski moved to table this until after the first of the
year. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried.
Mr. Jaworski asked if bids for insurance had been advertised for and was told,
No. Mr. McLean thought specifications were to be set up. Mr. Jaworski said
use the figures on the present policies and update by 10 %. The Clerk was in-
structed to have these figures for the next meeting. Mr. McLean moved to
advertise for bids for insurance using the present policies. Seconded by
Mr. Marier. Motion carried.
Mr. Zelinka suggested to Mr. Jaworski that on the work scheduled the
estimated hours for completion be included. Mr. Jaworski agreed.
