1
NOVEMBER 24, 1975
Mr. McLean reminded the Council that the review of the Maintenance Supervisor
was due. This had been agreed on at the last review. Mr. McLean moved to
set December 3, 1975 for this hearing. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion
carried.
Mr. Zelinka felt the Personnel Commission should be present at this
hearing. Mr. McLean asked if that Commission will be having a meeting
before the date set and Mr. Zelinka felt that he could get them together
before the meeting.
Mr. Marier moved to approve requisitions No. 633 and 634. Mr. Jaworski
questioned the requisition for legal pads. He thought a requisition
had been approved last month for this purchase. He was reminded that the
requisition had been cancelled. Mr. McLean seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
Mr. Jaworski questioned the two long distance calls on the phone bill. The
Clerk had made the call to St. Cloud to confirm Mr. Kel ing's reservations
for the Assessor's School. This charge had been paid by the Clerk. The other
call is apparently the responsibility of the Police Department. Mr. Jaworski
felt that some record of who makes such calls should be kept. Mr. Zelinka
suggested getting small note pads made especially for this. The Clerk will
check at a Stationary Store this weekend. She is to send a memo to all
Departments that all long distance calls are to be recorded at the time placed
and reported to the Clerk's Office.
Mr. Marier questioned the bill for $285.00 for black dirt for Maple Street.
there is no requisition for this dirt and Mr. Marier felt that an explanation
from Mr. Volk as to why this purchase was made is necessary.
Mayor Bohjanen felt this was in-conjunction with the regrading of that street
and was used to replace the lawns dug up in the grading process. He felt this
was part of the road construction figure and a requisition was not necessary any
more than a requisition was required for the oil, gravel and other materials
used in repairing the streets.
Mr. Jaworski was asked about this and he said he didn't realize that they
would be using black dirt in that area.
Mr. Marier felt that Mr. Volk did not have the authority to make this type
of purchase.
(Mr. Marier had to leave due to an emergency.)
The Clerk had prepared a Cash Flow report for the year 1976. Mr. Jaworski
asked for an explanation.
The Clerk explained how the estimated figures of expenditue and receipts were
arrived at and that the total figure is under the approved budget to take into
account the uncollectable levy. There was disucssion of accounting procedure.
Mayor Bohjanen had a proposed Purchase Order Register Form from the Deputy
Clerk. He asked the Clerk about this form adn she said she had not seen it
before.
