1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />October II, 1977 21 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8 :00 P.M., <br />October 11, 1977 by Mayor Bohjanen. Council members present; Karth, Schneider, Zelinka. <br />Absent; McLean. Mr. Babcock substituted for Mr. Locher, who is out of town. <br />Mr. Schneider corrected the minutes of September 26, 1977as follows: on page 3, para- <br />graph 6, the figure should be corrected to read '$192,431.00'. <br />Approval of the minutes was delayed to allow Mr. McLean to present any possible correct- <br />ions he might have. <br />The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: <br />..Mayor Bohjanen had received a letter from Mr. Nethercut of the Metropolitan Open Space <br />and Recreation Commission on a meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 1977. The <br />Otter Lake Regional Park will be discussed before the Physical Development Committee. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize Mr. Babcock, Mr. Gotwald and Mr. Short to attend this meet- <br />ing with the stipulation that Hugo will be represented. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion <br />carried unanimously. Mr. Karth will also attend the meeting and Mr. Zelinka said he would <br />try. <br />Mr. McLean arrived. On consideration of the September 26, 1977 minutes, Mr. McLean had <br />no corrections. Mr. Karth moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. <br />Schneider. Motion carried with Mr. Zelinka abstaining. <br />..The Clerk had received a letter from Mr. Locher stating that he had checked the title <br />of Ulmer's Rice Lake Addition and had gone over the plat with the County Surveyor and <br />every thing was in order. Mr. McLean moved to authorize the Mayor and the Clerk to sign <br />the hard shells. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />..Notice of a meeting concerned with selection of a site for the proposed chemical waste <br />land disposal facility. This meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 12, 1977 at <br />8:30 A.M. Mr. Zelinka felt that unless the site is located in Anoka County, there is <br />not much for this City to be concerned with. <br />..Notice of the mailing of the Federal Revenue Sharing payment for this quarter had been <br />received. The Clerk had made a copy for Mr. Schneider. The final check should be more <br />than the previous ones due to some adjustment. <br />..The anti - recession fiscal assistance check in the amount of $1,568.00 had been received. <br />..Centerville had forwarded a letter requesting $6,413.16 for the 1978 Fire Contract <br />for the East portion of Lino Lakes. This is the amount that had been considered at budget <br />time. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the contract. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />..A letter from the Anoka County Auditor's Office setting forth some rules and regulat- <br />ions on the forth coming City Election. Voter registration will close October 18, 1977 <br />and the law no longer requires the offices to be open additional hours before the closing <br />date. <br />..A letter from Drovers State Bank informing the Council they are holding in escrow funds <br />in the amount of $11,802.00 for the work to be done on West Shadow Lake Drive. <br />..A request from Mr. Harry A. Larson for a Turkey Bingo permit for November 18, 1977 <br />to be held at the Lino School. This event is sponsored by the Lino Parents Club and <br />is a fund raiser. Mr. McLean moved to approve this request. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
