94 <br />April 10, 1978 <br />Mr. Schneider moved to close the hearing at 8:45 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Mc Lean. Motion <br />declared passed. <br />A public hearing for Mr. Menkveld's Forest Glen was scheduled, but Mr. Menkveld had call- <br />ed to say he would be late. The hearing was deferred until his arrival. <br />Mayor Karth presented information on the votomatic machines. There was some discussion. <br />Mr. Schneider moved to defer discussion of this matter until the April 24, 1978 meeting. <br />The Clerk was instructed to compute the cost analysis of these machines as compared to the <br />method of paper ballots now used. <br />Mr. Schneider moved to defer consideration of these machines until the April 24, 1978 <br />Council meeting. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />The matter of a request for funds from the Forest Lake Youth Service Bureau was discussed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to consider this organization at 1979 budget hearings with their needs <br />to be considered at that time. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Mayor Karth presented a request from the Boy Scounts for the use of the City trucks and <br />bags from the City in conjunction with their clean -up day. Mr. McLean asked if this is <br />done on the West side of the City and asked if the East side of the City could also be <br />included. Mr. McLean moved to approve the use of the City trucks and the City to pro- <br />vide the bags. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean suggested the City conduct a one day clean up such as is sponsored by Circle <br />Pines. It was felt it is too late to consider this for this year, but should be talked <br />about at the budget hearings. Mr. Schneider so moved. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion <br />declared passed. <br />The Public Hearing for Lakes Addition #5 was called to order at 9:00 P.M. Mr. Locher <br />read the legal publication setting forth the date and time of this hearing. <br />Mr. McLean said all documentation is in the file and there were no comments from the aud- <br />ience. Mr. McLean moved to approve this plat of 5 lots with an outlot with a 140' frontage. <br />Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Erickson asked if it was possible to obtain another building permit for one of the lots. <br />The general opinion was this could complicate the plat in that title cannot be transferred <br />until the plat is filed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to close the hearing at 9:05 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion <br />declared passed. <br />The Public Hearing for the Forest Glen Plat was called to order at 9:06 P.M. Mr. Locher <br />read the legal publication setting forth the time and date of this hearing. <br />Mr. McLean said the revised plat needs to be properly dated as to the revision. The street <br />easement along the western edge needs to be redefined as a utility easement. Mr. Menkveld <br />found no problems with this. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve the plat as presented subject to being revised and properly <br />dated with the easement change to be included prior to forwarding for final approval. <br />Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passedA <br />Mr. Locher reminded Mr. Menkveld that he must have the abstract for checking. <br />Mr. Schneider moved to, close the hearing at 9:15 P.M. Seconded by Mr. McLean.
