Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean introduced the question of the use of City Vehicles outside the City limits <br />under Old Business. He said there needs to be an established City policy on this matter. <br />This use should be retained under Council control. <br />Mr. Zelinka agreed, that without prior consent of the City Council, a vehicle should <br />not be out of the City overnight. <br />Mr. Schneider felt that any meetings or school attended with the use of a City vehicle <br />should also have prior Council approval. <br />Mr. McLean moved that no City owned vehicle shall be taken out of the City overnight <br />without prior notification and Council approval. In the case of attendance at schools <br />or other official business, alternate means of transportation be used first. Employees <br />to be compensated for the use of public transportation or paid mileage for the use of <br />their personal cars. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to compensate employees for use of personal cars at the rate of 0.15¢ <br />per mile. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr.. McLean asked if any member had a suggestion for the replacement needed on the Planning <br />and Zoning Board and, other than the names already submitted, there was none. Mr. McLean <br />moved to appoint Mr. William Bohjanen to the Planning and Zoning Board. Seconded by Mr. <br />Zelinka. Motion declared passed. <br />The problem of the extended disability of Jeffery Kirschbaum was discussed. Mr. McLean <br />felt that something should be done to avoid a continuation of this kind of problem. <br />The Clerk is to check with Mr. McGowan as to the possibility of some reimbursement for <br />the Auto - Owners policy. <br />Mr. Locher reported on his findings as to the driver of the other car. There was also <br />a question of obtaining a doctor's report on the disability of Mr. Kirschbaum. Mr. <br />Locher felt this should be gotten through Mr. Kirschbaum's Attorney. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to instruct Mr. Locher to contact this attorney for the requested in- <br />formation. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />After consulting the figures for the Police coverage for Centerville, Mr. Schneider moved <br />to approve the Contract. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean reported he had contacted the power company on the requirement of buried <br />line in plats. Mr. Locher said his office had been contacted by the power company and <br />he had forwarded a copy of Ordinance #49. The Clerk was instructed to send a copy of <br />this Ordinance to NSP and the Telephone Company. She is to also proved a copy for Mr. <br />Mobley. <br />Mayor Karth reported briefly on the meeting with Mr. Lee Starr and Mr. Mobley here at <br />City Hall last week. Mr. Starr felt he had enough information to put a package togeth- <br />er for Council consideration. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve requisitions #824 through and including #830.
