This is available
if any Council member would like a copy.
..Ordinance #51, the sign ordinance, had been retyped to include
all corrections as suggested by the State and by the Planning and
Zoning Board. Each Council member has a copy and a copy for the
Attorney. There will be a discussion on this matter from the Plan-
ning and Zoning Board report.
..A notice from The Western Union Telegraph Company on TWX service,
This has no impact on this City.
..A letter from the Metropolitan Council setting forth the Review
Procedures for Local Plans and School Proguams was discussed. No
action was taken.
..A letter from the League of Minnesota Cities discussing the new
regulations on Vending machines. This is concerned with machines
that contain perishable food.
..Received a letter of confirmation transfer of the street light
being maintained by Mr. Harold Hansen. This light has been trans -
fereed to the City's account as of June 1st, 1978. A letter of
Thanks has been sent to Mr. Hansen.
..A letter from the Metropolitan Council setting a meeting for the
final draft of the report to the Transportation Advisory Board on
a Major River Crossing. The building had been put on the
assessment rolls in 1970. The building would then have been con-
structed in 1969, therefore, there is not a need for a variance
to the side set back.
Mr. Arnie Nutter was present to discuss this matter. It was felt
that a letter of intent from the Council to deed that portion of
the right -of -way the building now occupies to Mr. Nutter with the
stipulation that if the structure is ever destroyed, that portion
of the lot would revert to the City.
Mr. Gotwald suggested narrowing the right -of -way to 50' by vacat-
ing an equal number of feet on either side of Lois Lane to ex-
tend to the platted street to the East.
Mr. Locher will have to check the type of title the City has to
this right -of -way before the method of transfer can be decided.
Mr. McLean moved to authorize Mr. Locher to start the legal pros
cess to realign Lois Lane to a 50' right -of -way equally on both
sides, to the first North /South cross street beginning at Lake
Drive on the West.
