Mr. Mazanec said he would rewrite this memo, get a copy to this Council, for discussion before it is forwarded to the Physical Development Committee. He also felt it might be a good idea for members of this Council to get together with members of that committee for an informal meeting to discuss this matter before it is presented to the committee as a whole. There was some discussion on the definition of soils used in the City's Restrictive Soils Ordinance. There are some differences that the Metro questioned. The City's practices as to requiring perc tests and soil borings was explained. These are required on all new buildings within the City - no matter where they are located. Mr. McLean indicated that he would like to start the work on updating the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, but most of these questions must be resolved first. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn at 10:30 P.M. Seconded by Mr. McLean Aye. These minutes were considered and approved at the regular Council meeting held on February 12, 1979. 4L, Edna L. Sarner, Clerk- Treasurer February 12, 1979 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:00 P.M. on February 12, 1979 by Mayor Karth. Council members pre- sent; Kulaszewicz, McLean, Schneider. Absent; Zelinka. Mr. Locher was also absent. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of January 22, 1979 as pre- sented. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. Mr. Schneider moved to approve the minutes of January 30,1979 as pre- sented. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed. The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: ..An information booklet from the Bureau of Census on the Local Review Program had been received. They are asking for a liaison person to con- tact. The general consensus of the Council members was that all infor- mation should be sent to the Clerk's office. ..The application forms for the additional monies for Land Planning must be signed and returned. Mr. McLean moved to authorize Mayor Karth to sign the applications. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. ..Mr. Paul Miller, of Acton Construction, had written requesting the street that enters into their building site be bamed "Phelps Road ". The Council had no objections to this, however, Mr. McLean moved that this matter be checked with Mr. Arnold Kelling for conformance to City and Metro planning. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. All other incoming information has been copied for each Council member.
