February 12, 1979 <br />Mayor Karth reported that he had oncsulted with Anoka County Engineers <br />and had been told that the County has a policy against installation of <br />street lights. Therefore, if the City desires a street light at the <br />intersection of County Road #14 and County Road #84, the City will have <br />to install the light. Mr. McLean moved to instruct Mr. Volk to obtain <br />cost figures for this installation for Council consideration. Seconded <br />by Mr. Schneider. MOtion declared passed. <br />Mr. Schneider reported that he had talked with three different persons <br />on the insurance problem and suggested setting a special meeting for this <br />purpose for March 7, 1979, at 7:30 P.M. and he will contact these men <br />and set the schedules. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Schneider had some questions pertaining to Capital Outlay fro the <br />Park Department, but will defer this matter until Mr. Zelinka is present. <br />Mayor Karth reported that the Circle Pines Utility Commission had contacted <br />him and asked to meet with the Council to discuss this Commission. The <br />Council set 8:30 P.M. at the February 26, 1979 Council meeting for this <br />purpose. If it is found there is not sufficient time at that meeting, then <br />a special meeting will be scheduled. <br />The matter of billing the Anoka County Park Department and the Anoka <br />County Court Services for Police services was discussed. Mayor Karth <br />will contact Mr. Robert Burman on these matters. <br />The Public Hearing on the El Rehbein & Son request for rezoning was called <br />to order at 8:30 P.M. In the absence of Mr. Locher, Mr. McLean read the <br />notice of publication. All documents are in order. Mr. McLean asked for <br />comments from the audience on this matter- there was none. Mr. McLean <br />moved to approve this rezoning from Commercial and Residential /Agricultural <br />to Light Industrial with the following stipulations, 1) to provide <br />screening for the property to the North with the acceptance of the property <br />owner; 2) the front of the building to be landscaped with grass and <br />shrubery. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. McLean moved to close the hearing at 8:35 P.M. Seconded by MR. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed. <br />After a small recess, the Public Hearing on the Oak Knoll Plat was called <br />to order at 8:45 P.M. In the absence of Mr. Locher, Mr. McLean read the <br />notice of legal publication. Mr. McLean asked for comments from the <br />audience - there was none. Mr. McLean moved to approve this plat as <br />presented subject to Mr. Locher's approval of the deeds setting forth the <br />street description, the 10' strip on the East side of the plat and the <br />10' strip withheld from the plat, subject to bonding for the street con- <br />struction prior to the issuance of building permits. Seconded by MR. <br />Schneider. Motion declared passed. <br />Mr. Schneider moved to close the Hearing at 8:55 P.M. Seconded by Mr, <br />McLean. Motion declared passed. <br />Mayor Karth opened the hearing on hunting at 9:00 P.M. The audience was <br />told this meeting is for the purpose of gathering information. This in- <br />formation will be studied and if there are changes, an Ordinance will be <br />written and published. A public hearing will be held on the passing of <br />the Ordinance. <br />He asked taht all persons wishing to speak to please stand and give their <br />
