June 25, 1979
use this strip for a trail, and they needed documentation to support
their position. NSP is not in favor of using this strip for a trail
and have said so.
Mr. Locher reported on the sewer problmes at the Don Shackle residence
and what had been done to resolve. He will keep the Council informed.
Mr. Gotwald had checked the applications from Northwestern Bell for the
installation of buried cable. He recommended the West Oaks that the
cable be kept at least 13' from the property'line. Northwestern Bell
is proposing 12' feet. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this request with
the stipulation that the cable be installed at least 13' from the pro-
perty line. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
Mr. Gotwald recommended approval of the cable on Aenon Street. Mr.
Zelinka so moved to approve this request. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz.
Motion declared passed.
Mr. Gotwald reported on some problems he had checked out. Some grout
is missing frma a catch basin in Shenandoah —this is a minor item to
take care of. The end of the line needs to be cleaned and he felt that
if contacted Mr. Rehbein, this would be taken care of.
There needs to be some repair on East Shadow Lake Drive, but he felt
that for now, Mr. Volk should do some patching and perhaps when Black
Duck is being surfaced, the major repairs ould be done at that time,
and at a better price. He will work this out with Mr. Volk.
Mr. Gotwald had checked LaMotte Road and there are 4 or 5 spots broken
up - not very big ones (due to bus or trash trucks) will talk to Don.
He felt these spots should be cut out and backfilled, compacted and re-
surfaced. This street should be seal coated this year. Mr. Gotwald
said Mr. Volk will be needing more sophisticated equipment such as a
compactor, air hammer, compressor.
On the Lakeview area, Mr. Gotwald suggested that several of the Council
members, Mr. Volk and he make an inspection of the area and come back
to the Council with recommendations for that area.
The subject of Deer Pass Trail was discussed. Mr. Gotwald presented
is several ideas on how this matter should be handled. Mr. Zelinka
moved to set a hearing for July 23, 1979 at 9:00 P.M. for imporvements
on Deer Pass Trail. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
Mr. Kulaszewicz asked Mr. Gotwald to get the use charges on the lift
station computed.
The matter of replacing Mr. Kirschbaum was discussed. There is no
objection from the Union on the alary request by Mr. Kjer. Te Union
had no comment on the matter of bumping him out if and when Mr. Kirschbaum
returns
There was discussion of the status of Mr. Kirschbaum and the demands
being made by his Attorney.
Mr. Kulaszewicz reported that Mr. Tim Ross is certified, has been in-
terviewed by the Personnel Commission and had been reocmmended as next
in line. He will accept this position on a temporary basis. Mr.
Kulaszewicz moved to approve the hiring of Mr. Tim Ross on a temporary
full time basis until the position has been determined to be permanent.
