1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 25, 1991 <br />White Tail Ridge improvement. He asked that the storm sewer and <br />street improvements for White Tail Ridge be added to the <br />Brandywood Estates plans and specifications in order to get a <br />more favorable bid. Mr. Boxrud explained that it is expected <br />that completing White Tail Ridge in this manner would save <br />approximately 15% in costs. He has been in contact with the <br />property owners and they may guarantee the higher cost if this is <br />necessary. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve Resolution No. 28 - 91 <br />Approving Plans and Specifications for Bids for Improvement of <br />Brandywood Estates. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve Resolution No. 30 - 91 <br />Ordering the Advertisement for Bids for Improvement of White Tail <br />Ridge. Council Member Kuether seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />SECOND READING, ORDINANCE NO. 15 - 90 REGULATING THE PLANTING, <br />MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL OF TREES AND SHRUBS IN THE PUBLIC STREETS <br />AND OTHER MUNICIPAL PROPERTY, DON VOLK <br />Mr. Volk explained that there have been no changes in this <br />proposed ordinance since the first reading. Acting Mayor Reinert <br />asked if there will be any effort to educate the public regarding <br />this matter. Mr. Volk said yes, this is addressed in the Tree <br />Preservation Policy. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the second reading of <br />Ordinance No. 15 - 90 and dispense with the reading. Council <br />Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 15 - 90 can be found in the Ordinance Book. <br />CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 29 - 91 ADOPTING AN INVESTMENT <br />POLICY FOR THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, RANDY SCHUMACHER <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that the purpose of the policy is to <br />provide a policy for staff for the most effective investments <br />possible as well as to provide a standardize guideline for any <br />staff person to follow. He noted that current investment <br />policies have been effective but should be formalized into a <br />policy. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve Resolution No. 29 - 91 <br />adopting an investment policy for the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Council Member Kuether seconded the motion.
