150 <br />COUNCIL MEETING MAY 13, 1991 <br />Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Terry Lappen, Exclusive Developer's Agreement, Rice Lake Plaza - <br />Mr. Lappen had been granted a 45 day exclusive developer's <br />agreement for Rice Lake Plaza. Mr. Lappen asked that this <br />agreement be extended to allow him opportunity to explore <br />possible interest by Fairway Foods. He explained that he had <br />contacted several other wholesale food establishments and found <br />that SuperValu Gateway and Nash /Finch were not interested at this <br />time. Mr. Lappen explained that Fairway Foods is more sensitive <br />to the northern suburbs and read their letter of response. <br />Fairway Foods have requested that additional market studies be <br />completed and this is the reason for the extension request. <br />After further discussion regarding whether the area could support <br />another major grocery retailer and how Mr. Lappen was "selling <br />Lino Lakes" Council Member Reinert moved to extend the exclusive <br />developer's agreement another 45 days to explore an agreement <br />with Fairway Foods. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to adjourn at 9:25 P.M. Council <br />Member Kuether seconded the motion.
