SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />JANUARY 6, 1992 <br />DATE • January 6, 1992 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:35 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED : 8:00 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Reinert, Neal, Kuether, Elliott <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />Staff Members present: City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; City <br />Engineer's, Darrell Schneider and Dan Boxrud; Chief of Police, <br />Dean Campbell; Fire Chief, Milo Bennett; Public Works Director, <br />Don Volk; Building Official, Pete Kluegel; Administrative <br />Assistant, Dan Tesch; Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk - <br />Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />Mr. Hawkins performed the ceremony of swearing in Mayor Reinert <br />and Council Member Elliott and Council Member Neal. <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:37 P.M. and roll was called. <br />CONSIDERATION OF ANNUAL APPOINTMENTS <br />Acting Mayor - Mayor Reinert requested that the entire Council <br />elect the Acting Mayor. Council Member Elliott <br />nominated Council Member Neal to be Acting Mayor. <br />Council Member Kuether seconded the nomination. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Design Review Board - Mayor Reinert noted that the terms of three <br />(3) members have expired. He asked that this <br />matter be referred to a work session of the City <br />Council to discuss the method of appointing new <br />members to the expired terms and possibly adding <br />two (2) other members to that board. Mayor <br />Reinert also asked that the Council consider <br />renaming this board, Planning and Zoning Board. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to refer this <br />matter and the appointment of the City Attorney <br />and City Engineer to the January 7, 1992 work <br />session of the Council. <br />Park Board - Mayor Reinert asked that this appointment be <br />PAGE 1 <br />
