1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />JANUARY 22, 1992 <br />DATE • ▪ January 22, 1992 <br />TIME STARTED : 5:00 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED • • 6:58 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Reinert, Neal, Kuether, Elliott <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : None <br />Staff members present: City Engineer, Darrell Schneider; Public <br />Works Director, Don Volk; Police Officer, Bruce Keller; <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk - Treasurer Marilyn <br />Anderson. <br />The purpose of the work session was to review the agenda for <br />Monday, January 27, 1992 and discuss other additions to the <br />agenda. <br />REVIEW OF COUNCIL AGENDA FOR JANUARY 27, 1992 <br />Mr. Schumacher reviewed each item on the proposed agenda and <br />answered questions from the Council. <br />Mayor Reinert asked Mr. Schumacher to set a tri -city <br />(Centerville, Circle Pines, Lino Lakes) meeting for a forthcoming <br />Saturday morning. No dates were suggested. <br />Mayor Reinert asked that an item titled Rescinding the City <br />Severance Pay Policy be added to the agenda. <br />Mr. Fred Chase will be at the February 5, 1992 work session to <br />update the Council regarding the Zoning Ordinance update. <br />Mayor Reinert noted material received from the League of <br />Minnesota Cities indicates that many cities have created a "city <br />flag ". He asked if this was important. Mr. Volk will look for a <br />person to prepare a flag and determine the cost. <br />PROPOSED POLICE TELEPHONE SYSTEM PRESENTATION <br />Officer Keller prepared a price list of three (3) telephone <br />systems for the remodeled police facility. He noted that one (1) <br />system did not offer a warranty and suggested that the Council <br />PAGE 1 <br />57 <br />
