He also asked <br />that the unsuccessful candidates be notified as soon as possible <br />and let them know that their names will be kept on file in case <br />of resignations or if other committees or boards are planned in <br />the near future. <br />This matter will be on the agenda for Monday evening, February <br />24, 1992. Mr. Schumacher will give a brief outline of the <br />procedure, note all candidates were interviewed and introduce the <br />names for Council action. <br />Legal Newspaper - Mr. Andy Gibas, editor of the Circulating <br />Pines addressed the Council. He explained that he would like the <br />Circulating Pines newspaper to be considered as the legal <br />newspaper and he would place all Lino Lakes legals in the <br />Centennial Shopper. Mr. Gibas said he would guarantee that the <br />Centennial Shopper would reach all residents in Lino Lakes <br />regardless of what zip code the resident was in. Mr. Gibas also <br />questioned the claim of the Quad Press regarding their delivery <br />to all residents. He noted that a lot of their paper boxes are <br />still buried in the snow and asked where they are putting the <br />paper. Mr. Gibas also questioned the audit report presented by <br />the Quad Press. <br />Council Member Elliott said she has never seen the Centennial <br />Shopper. Mayor Reinert read a letter from Mr. Gibas and <br />explained that it is the goal of the Council to get legal <br />information into every home. <br />PAGE 2 <br />99 <br />
