Ms. Seekon felt that someone is going to get hurt in <br />this area. <br />Ms. Seekon said she has talked to two (2) police officers about <br />this situation and they told her that there is nothing that they <br />can do about the situation. <br />Mayor Reinert asked Mr. Schumacher to check with the Chief of <br />Police and ask him to check with Ms. Seekon if he has further <br />questions. <br />Mayor Reinert thank Ms. Seekon for bringing this matter to the <br />attention of the City Council. <br />CONSIDERATION OF DISBURSEMENTS <br />May 22, 1995 - Council Member Elliott moved to approve the <br />disbursements as presented. Council Member Bergeson seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Centennial Fire District - Council Member Kuether moved to <br />approve the disbursements as presented. Council Member Elliott <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, ESTABLISHMENT OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING (TIF) <br />DISTRICT NO. 1 -7, NOL -TEC SYSTEMS, INC. AND MAG -CON, INC., BRIAN <br />WESSEL <br />Mayor Reinert opened the public hearing at 6:54 P.M. Mr. Wessel <br />used the overhead projector and showed the proposed location of <br />this TIF District No. 1 -7. He noted that the purpose of the <br />public hearing is to allow public comment regarding the <br />establishment of a new TIF district to encourage industrial <br />development in the Apollo Business Park. TIF District No. 1 -7 <br />will allow the City to provide financial assistance for land and <br />special assessment to Nol -Tec Systems, Inc. and Mag -Con, Inc. <br />TIF District No. 1 -7 also includes the remaining unsold parcels <br />within the City owned portion of the Apollo Business Park. <br />There was no one in the audience to speak on this matter. <br />Mr. Ron Batty, Holmes and Graven, explained that this will be an <br />economic development district. State Statutes allow the Economic <br />Development Authority to use the increment for a period of nine <br />(9) years receipt of increment or 11 calendar years from today <br />whichever occurs first.
