COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 12, 1995 <br />The public hearing this evening is to receive comments from the <br />public. <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to close the public hearing at 6:54 <br />P.M. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 95 - 65 Approving Modification of <br />Tax Increment Financing District No. 1 -4, Blue Heron, LTD. - Mr. <br />Wessel explained that the final approval of the modification of <br />TIF District No. 1 -4 by the City Council will allow the City to <br />provide financial assistance to Blue Heron, LTD. The assistance <br />will aid Blue Heron, LTD. in the purchase of 2.4 acres from G. M. <br />Development in the private portion of the Apollo Business Center. <br />Blue Heron, LTD. will be constructing a 20,196 square foot <br />facility with flexible leased space for office /warehouse use. <br />Mr. Wessel recommended that the City Council approve Resolution <br />No. 95 - 65 approving a modified tax increment financing plan for <br />TIF District No. 1 -4 in the Apollo Business Park. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to approve Resolution No. 95 - 65. <br />Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 95 - 65 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE NO. 10 - 95 <br />AUTHORIZING SALE OF CITY OF LINO LAKES LAND IN THE APOLLO <br />BUSINESS PARK TO MAG-CON, INC. <br />Mr. Wessel used the overhead projector to show the proposed <br />location of the Mag -Con., Inc. improvement. He explained that <br />Mag -Con., Inc. is purchasing a 2.3 acre parcel of land in the <br />City owned portion of Apollo Business Center for its <br />manufacturing facility. According to Chapter XII, Section 12.05 <br />of the Lino Lakes City Charter, an ordinance is required to <br />authorize the sale of real property owned by the City. The first <br />reading of the ordinance was adopted on May 22, 1995. After the <br />second reading, the ordinance will be published in the legal <br />newspaper and will become effective July 20, 1995. Mr. Wessel <br />recommended that the City Council adopt Ordinance No. 10 - 95. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt the second reading of <br />Ordinance No. 10 - 95 and dispense with the reading.
