1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 12, 1995 <br />CONSIDERATION OF SETTING A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING FOR JUNE 29, <br />1995, 5:15 P.M. FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A PUBLIC HEARING <br />REGARDING ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT PROGRAM AND TAX <br />INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 3 -1, CLEARWATER CREEK <br />Mr. Wessel explained that a special City Council meeting is <br />required for the purpose of holding a pubic hearing to establish <br />a Development District Program and Tax Increment Financing <br />District No. 3 -1. The Economic Development Authority (EDA) will <br />be meeting on June 29, 1995 at 5:00 P.M. to adopt a plan for this <br />District. A public hearing can follow the action by the EDA at <br />5:15 P.M. <br />Mr. Wessel explained that TIF District No. 3 -1 is located around <br />the intersection of I35E and County Road 14 (Main Street). The <br />1995 legislature modified current TIF legislation concerning land <br />that is current "green acres ". The modified legislation will <br />become effective on July 1, 1995. Since TIF District No. 3 -1 <br />contains some "green acres" land, this District is adopted at <br />this time to insure that TIF will be available for the <br />development of the District. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to set a special meeting for June <br />29, 1995, 5:15 P.M. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 95 - 73 Calling for a Public <br />Hearing on the Plan for Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District <br />No. 3 -1, Clearwater Creek - A special City Council meeting is <br />required for the purpose of hold a public hearing to establish a <br />Development District Program and Tax Increment Financing District <br />No. 3 -1. The EDA will be meeting on June 29, 1995, 5:00 P.M. to <br />adopt the Plan for this District. A public hearing can follow <br />the action by the EDA at 5:15 P.M. <br />Council Member Elliott moved to adopt Resolution No. 95 - 73 <br />Calling a Hearing on the Plan for Tax Increment Financing <br />District No. 3 -1. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 95 - 73 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />CONSIDERATION OF A LETTET2 FROM THE CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />REQUESTING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION <br />ISSUES AS THEY RELATE TO PROPOSED BUILDING SITE NORTH OF ELM <br />STREET, RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 74 <br />Mr. Schumacher gave the Council Members a map of the proposed <br />location for a new Centennial School.
