146 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />JULY 10, 1995 <br />DATE : July 10, 1995 <br />TIME STARTED : 6 :42 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED 7:32 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Neal, Kuether, Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : Reinert, Elliott <br />Staff members present: Acting City Engineer, John Powell; Acting <br />City Attorney, Barry Sullivan; Consulting Engineer, Steve Heth; <br />Engineering Tech, Michael Krech; Planning Coordinator, Mary Kay <br />Wyland; 20/20 Project Coordinator, Kim Sullivan; City <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk - Treasurer Marilyn <br />Anderson. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Schumacher noted that there are two (2) items on the agenda <br />this evening that require at least a four - fifths vote. Since <br />only three (3) Council Members are present, Agenda Items 3A and <br />3B will have to be tabled until the next Council meeting on July <br />24, 1995. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Kim Sullivan, 20/20 Vision Coordinator - Ms. Sullivan explained <br />that the final 20/20 forum was held on Saturday, July 8, 1995 at <br />Rice Lake Elementary School. She thanked Council members and <br />Staff members for attending and participating in the forum. <br />Ms. Sullivan highlighted some citizen key issues that were themes <br />throughout all the sessions. The first issue was communication <br />and accountability. The citizens have asked for more information <br />about what happens within City government and when action is <br />taken, they would like to know more about why a particular action <br />was taken. The second issue was growth. Citizens are very pro - <br />economic development and were very supportive of what the <br />Economic Development Department is currently doing. The citizens <br />have expressed a concern about the residential development being <br />disproportionately high in relation to the ability of the <br />PAGE 1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
