1
1
1
COUNCIL MEETING JULY 10, 1995
asked if the 20/20 Vision steering committee have some
recommendations on budget issues. Ms. Sullivan explained that
the steering committee would like to stay informed on what the
budget process is and how budgets are put together. The
responsibility stays with either the City Council or the staff.
However, the citizens should be asked about how they feel about
how the budget relates to what they have recommended.
Ms. Sullivan said that she will return in a couple of weeks to
give the City Council a copy of the final document.
Tim Stemig, 6647 Black Duck Drive and Javin Faehn, 1050 Lantern
Lane - Mr. Stemig and Mr. Faehn live on the two (2) lots
immediately adjoining the Black Duck lift station. They are
concerned about the renovation of the lift station and asked if
it could be moved across Black Duck Drive to the east on property
owned by the City. Mr. Powell explained that the current design
is to replace the current lift station at the present site. Bids
for the replacement of the lift station will be considered this
evening. It appears that staff will revisit the entire project
again from a cost standpoint. Mr. Stemig said that he and Mr.
Faehn are concerned about excavation at the current site and how
it will affect their property. They are concerned that property
markers will disappear. It would be expensive for them to have
the markers replaced. Mr. Powell explained that any disturbance
in the area due to the construction will have to be restored to
its current state, or better, by the contractor.
Mr. Stemig said if it is possible to move the lift station across
the street, he would prefer that it be done. He felt that the
current location of the lift station may adversely affect his
property value. Mr. Powell explained that moving the lift
station is currently under review. He will have a recommendation
for the City Council shortly.
CONSIDERATION OF DISBURSEMENTS
June 30, 1995.
