Carried.
Mr. Bohjanen reiterated the bid for towing of the police cars received from Bill's
Auto Repair. Mr. Locher was asked to check if Mr. Flannagan was operating on commer-
cial property or not; after checking the plat map he stated the parcel was within the
300' commercial zone. After discussion it was decided to wait to act on this until
Mr. Flanagan gives us a per mile rate for towing the cars out of the Village. This
will be put on the next agenda.
Mr. Cardinal noted that the price was quite high for the requisition for a master
cylinder kit.
Mr. Cardinal moved to authorize sewer installation licenses to Husnik Sewer Services
and Corcoran Excavating. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried.
Mr. Cardinal stated that the Park Board had asked to see the plat map for the
Shenandoah area and asked the Clerk to make 5 copies for them.
Jerry Boyd stated he had asked before about licensing inside plumbing contractors
noting that he had run into problems such as Villella's Winneabago home. Villella
is responsible for the inside plumbing permit but does not know how to do the final
test, so Boyd must help him. Mr. Boyd thought it would be okay if an individual did
his own work, but would like to see all the contractors licensed. Mr. Bohjanen asked
Mr. Locher to inquire on model ordinances on this. There was some discussion.
Clerk felt that the Council's prior wish to have the applicant for a building
permit take out the plumbing permits would not work out with Mr. Boyd's request.
Members agreed that the contractor doing the work should pull the permit. Mr. Locher
said we could do this by resolution.
Mr. Boyd asked if the Village was going to be responsible for hauling at Chomonix
when we take over the sewer system, noting that -he was interested as a Lino Lakes
taxpayer. Mr. Marier said we would be responsible. Mr. Boyd asked if we knew
what the costs would be, but received no answer.
Mr. Jaworski moved to adopt Resolution No. 13 that the person who does the plumbing
is the person who pulls the permit. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried.
Mr. Marier questioned requisitions No. 92, 93, 94 & 96 from the CD. Mr. Bohjanen
said they didn't anticipate these items in time to request them before the Fourth,
so they purchased them. Mr. Marier said he could see the problem, but wondered how
many of these are we going to run into. He wished to see this thing handled
efficiently and with dispatch. Mr. Bohjanen stated that he had talked to the CD
and told them there would be no more such purchases unless it was an absolute
emergency. Clerk noted that 3 of the requisitions had been m ade out before the
last meeting but didn't have Mr. Cape's signature on them, so she hadn't brought
them. Mr. Marier said they should have been brought anyway as one of the Council
could have signed as Head of the Dept.
Mr. Jaworski moved to approve requisitions #92,94,96,98 &106. Seconded by Mr.
Marier, Carried.
1
