8/28/72 2 <br />Clerk read a list of election judges for the September 12th primary election from the <br />GOP party, but said none was received from the DFL. Mr. Cardinal moved to appoint Mrs. <br />Sylvia Brisson as Chief Judge and to authorize her to attend the instructional meeting <br />in Anoka on "ugust 30th with pay at $2.35 per hour. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried. <br />Mr. Myhre left to phone Mr. Jaworski for the list of names from the DFL. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to approve the application for a sewer license from Willard Olson <br />dba Olson's Sewer Service, with the stipulation that the insurance and bond are in <br />order. Seconded by Mr. 7elinka. Carried. Mr. Locher checked the papers. <br />Mr. Myhre returned and stated that Mrs. Jaworski said the list was sent to the County. <br />Mr. 7elinka moved to authorize the Clerk to accept the list of names for election <br />judges from the DFL. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Mr. 7elinka referred to a note from the clerk concerning application forms, and asked <br />if the Personnel Commission was to make them up. Clerk noted that the Personnel <br />Commission had been instructed to formulate a comprehensive application form after <br />the hiring of the last policeman. NIr. Bohjanen thought Mr. Carey had this. Mr.7elinka <br />thought we should order the usual forms from Miller -Davis until the new form is worked <br />out. <br />The requisitions were discussed. Mr. Marier wished to hold requisition No. 128 from the <br />CD until we see which vehicles they are talking about. He felt that No. 132 for a mail <br />box was excessive in cost and that we could get by cheaper by putting one in the door or <br />outside. Also, that we could get a tractor battery cheaper than listed on No. 133. Mr. <br />Marier moved to hold Requisitions No. 128, 132 and 133, and approve the rest of the <br />requisitions. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />IIIClerk asked Mr. Locher for a definition of "being on record" regarding parcels of land. <br />Mr. Locher said this means being filed with the Register of Deeds or Register of <br />Titles. <br />The bills were audited. Mr. Marier asked if we hadn't noted in the minutes that all <br />mechanic work was to be done in the Shop, noting that the police car had been left with <br />one mechanic for several days as it couldn't be started. There was discussion. <br />Mr. Marier questioned the number of hours the Shop Foreman should spend in the office. <br />Mr. 7elinka felt 20% of his time might be so spent. Mr. Marier said that 34 out of <br />Mr. Backlin's 87 hours on his time sheet were office hours. <br />Clerk was asked to get Bob Lundgren to fill in the roads he had worked on on his time <br />sheet. <br />Mr. 7elinka moved to pay bills #4668 - 4691 inclusive, and payroll checks #1801 - 1823 <br />inclusive. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried with Mr. Marier voting No. for lack of <br />accountability. <br />The Clerk was instructed to write to the two mechanics that all work is to be done <br />in the Shop. <br />There was discussion on the terminating liquor bond for Stanley Thayer. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn at 11 :53 P.M.
