The west side development has not been pursued because of the lack of sewer
facilities on that side of the lake. It is hoped that this area can be
developed in the not too distant future.
Mr. Barovanski who owns lot 20, asked what happens to the families who bought
on the Golf Course? He had bought his lot because it was on the golf course
and now he finds that there will be houses on the side of him and behind him and
the golf course has been moved. _Mr. Bush said there are 6 owners that this change
will affect, but there will be public lands to the depth of 300' behind his home.
It is regrettable that it isn't a golf course, but there is no economical way to
continue unless there is a change in platting plans. Mr. Bush said he was sure that
the company would be glad to sit down with these people and talk over their problem.
Mrs. Borvanski said they had bought their lot because it was an end lot and this
would afford the peace and quite for her husband since he is a heart patient.
Mr. Bush said the proposed Chan; -•e would change the usage of the land from 110 to
118 units in the townhouse to 35 to 40 sinf-le family dwellings.
Mr. Lombardi asked if the golf course had been shortened in yardage because of
the new plans. Mr. Bush said the back 9 holes had been shortened by about
450 yars.
Mr. Lombardi wanted to know if the house that would be built in the new plat would
be of comparable value to the ones al-eady there. Mr. Bush said they would be
representative of the homes there now. MLr. Lombardi commented that they had trouble
selling the golf course lots and how did they propose to sell them with a buffer
zone? Mr. Bush said he had no answer. He felt that the lack of a utility system
was the biggest deterent to selling. He felt that as soon as the utility system
had been accepted by the Village one of their main problems would be solved.
Mr. Carley had looked over the map of the porposal and it would require additional
lines. Mr. Bohjanen said that the plan would have to be presented to the P O
Board. Mr. Zelinka asked if they could appear on the 20th. Mr. Bush said this would
be fine. The Clerk was insturcted to contact Mr. McLean as to the time and then
call Mr. Dielenthis. Mr. Jaworski moved to put the U. ,q. Takes Development on the
.Ceptember 20th agenda of the PO Board. Seconded by Mr. 7elinka. Carrier.
Mr. Bush requested that an early_ hearing be held as soon after the 27th as possib -le.
Mr. Locher said there must be a new publication and remailing; the soonest it would
be held would be 14 days from the 22nd. This would be October 6th. Could be
held on the 9th of October.
Mr. Bush said they would like to get started on this as soon as possible and would
get back to the Council sometime the week of the 25th. Mr. 7elinka asked if the
Village would incurr any legal liability. Mr. Locher said No; if there were any
liability it would occur against the company. Mr. Bush was asked about the
discrepancy in the total figures; We must stay with the figure of $R459,516.56.
Mr. Bush replied that they realized this and their figures were flexable enough
to be able to resolve the difference.
Mr. Locher said the auditor will accept assessments until the end of November;
the Village isn't in any financial problem even if the assessments aren't made
this year. There is enough money to pay the interest on the bonds. Mr. Locher
assured the people in the audience that no amount of this assessment would fall
on them. Their only cost would be for the water meters and a deposit to cover
one to two months usage; this later amount would be returned to them if they
sold or moved.
1
1
