Mr. Backlin asked the Council to apply for a burning permit to burn the <br />brush left from the tree cutting on Sunrise. <br />7. We have received a copy of the I ncoorperati on papers for Forest Lake. <br />8. Mr. Kruase had been in and the cables of his sales tax permit were looked <br />at by the Council and they agreed that he would come under the grandfather <br />clause of our Ordinance. Mr. Marier asked that a copy of the permit be sent <br />to the P &Z. <br />9. A letter had been received from Anoka Union Shopper requesting our use of the <br />Blaine Life as the legal newspaper for the Village for 1973. This matter wi l l <br />be considered at the January 8, 1973 meeting. <br />10. The Village has received a refund of $245.00 from the Lemieux- Johnson Insurance <br />Agency as a return premium for Workman's Compensation Insurance. <br />II. Had received a copy of the form sent out by Fidelity and Deposit Company, of <br />Maryland on the status of the water and sewer mains installed by Mary Rehbein <br />in the Chomonix Area. This is a copy for our files. <br />12. Mr. Thayer of the Blue Heron had been in to pay the last half of his liquor <br />license and had filled out an application for a liquor license but since his <br />current license is valid until July of 1973, this application if unnecessary. <br />13. The Clerk asked Mr. Locher if the $25.00 deposit for a variance by Rodney <br />Youngbauer could be refunded since they no longer want the variance. Mr. Locher <br />said, N.o, that the clerical work had been done and this is what the charge is for. <br />Even if the request is turned down, there is not a refund. The Clerk was instructed <br />to write and inform Mr. Youngbauer of this. <br />14. The North Surburban Fence Company had submi *ted a bid for the fence around the <br />lift station. This matter was tabled until the next meeting. <br />15 .The Clerk read a list of people now holding cigeratte licenses that must be <br />renewed. The renewal applications are in the mail but since there will not <br />be another meeting before the First of the year, the clerk asked that the <br />licenses be approved pending the return of the applications. Mr. Marier so <br />moved. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal reported on the Park Board meeting. There was general discussion on the <br />condition of the Parks and what is needed. There had been a survey on the number of <br />children using the rink at the Hall and they had bound that between 18 and 22 chi Idren <br />are using this area. The 10 x 14 foot warming house should be adequate, but he still <br />has only one bid. Mr. Marier said that the guard shacks at the Arms Plant are being <br />sold and suggested that Mr. Cardinal contact Mr. Pete Nadeau for more information. Mr. <br />Cardinal said the rinks are being flooded as the weather allows. He also had a request <br />from Mr. Dave Mesiner of the Centennial Hockey Asso. to have the lights on and the warming <br />house open until 9:30 P. M. two maybe three nights a week when the schedule had a late <br />starting game. <br />Mr. Marier asked if we had a curfew law. Mr. Locher read from Ord. #18 which states that <br />all children under 16 may b e out at 9:30 P.M. only if supervised by an adult. Mr. Marier <br />suggested that Mr. Cardinal contact Mr. Mesner and inform him of this and tel him that he <br />or the coaches will have to assume the responsibility for the children. <br />Mr. Marier asked if anything had been done about the stumps and was told, No. Mr. Marier <br />then reported on the P& Z meeting. Naege le advertising had appeared for a reson i ng of <br />.8 of an acre located at Main Street and 1 35W. The original plans were for a sign, <br />but now they would like to erect a building to be used as a storage area for their <br />equipment. The P & Z asked that they contact the neighbors and get their feeling on this <br />and come back before the P & Z. Mr. Marier was also concerned that this may fall under <br />the State ruling as to "spot zoning" and asked that this be checked out. <br />
