M.
January 22, 1973 by Mayor Bohjanen. Councilmen present; Cardinal, Jaworski, Marier.
Absent: Zelinka. Attorney Locher was also present.
Mr. Cardinal moved to approve the minutes of the January 8, 1973 meeting as written.
Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried.
The Clerk had called the Auditor's Office to arrange for a representative from that
office to attend our meeting and explain the Federal Revenue Sharing program. Mr.
Lefebvre had called to ask if a letter from his office would do since the weather was
so bad. He had written the letter and delivered it to Mr. Locher's office. Mr. Locher
apoligized but he had left it on his desk. The Council tabled this until the next
meeting.
The Clerk read a letter from the Pollution Control Agency concerning the amendment of
rules for the administ ration of the Municipal Facilities Assistance Program and the
Minnesota State Water Pollution Control Fund. Mr. Locher looked over the provisions
in the letter and thought it was a step forward.
The Clerk reported that Mr. Wally Hill had been in the office the last week and the
audit was complete. He will present his report soon.
The Clerk read a letter from Mr. James Lawrence of the Centennial School District con-
cerning a trailer that they would like to sell or exchange for our old sander. Mr.
Cardinal reported he had discussed this with Mr. Lawrence. Mr. Marier asked if there
was any legal reason why this could not be done. Mr. Locher said if the two items were
comparable in value, then there was no problem.
Mr. Marier asked about the condition of the trailer. Mr. Cardinal said it was in good
condition. Mr. Marier asked if the School District knew of the condition of the old
sander. Mr. Cardinal said he had told them what was wrong with it.
Mr. Cardinal suggested having Mr. Laske, from the School take a look at the sander, and
have Mr. Backlin take a look at the trailer, and if both parties were satisfied to make
the switch.
1
