The Clerk read a letter from the State Office of Taxation notifying the Council of <br />a meeting on January 25th for members and the Assessor. Mr. Zelinka moved to authorize <br />Mr. Ke I I i ng and Mrs. Sarner to attend this meeting as representatives of the Vi I l age. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski reported he had attended a open meeting in Lexington concerning the Blaine <br />Landfi I I. A Mr. Johnson was there to present the plans for developing the area. Mr. <br />Jaworski reported that with the exception of the Mayor, all members of the Lexington <br />Council were in favor of the Landfill. <br />Mr. Cardinal added that the Engineer of the Rice Creek Watershed District is studying <br />this proposal and there will be an open hearing before the District gives their <br />recommendations. <br />Mr. Marier asked if the ads for the bids for the road work to be done this summer had <br />been published. Mr. Jaworski said they would be in the next publication of the <br />Construction Bulletin. <br />Mr. Marier asked about the end of the month financial reports. The Clerk said the <br />auditor had been in the fofice for the last week and it had been impossible to get a <br />report together. <br />Mr. Locher reported on a letter fr -m the Citizens Leaguq announcing a meeting on Planned <br />Dev elopment in Anoka County to be held on January 30, 1973 in the South East Public <br />Library from 6:30 P. M. to 8:45 P.M. This lication is near the University of Minnesota. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve requisitions #187 thru #190. Seocnded by Mr. Zel inka. <br />Carried. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to pay the bills #4916 thru #4943 withholding #4926 for calcification. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried. Mr. Marier requested that the Clerk add the name <br />of the insurance company to the check issued to Mr. James Ray. <br />The Clerk is to check on the purchase of the copy paper for the A. B. Dick machine. <br />Mr. Marier moved to adjourn at 10:15 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Aye. <br />Minutes approved at the February 12, 1973 meeting <br />February 12, 1973 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Vi I lage Council of February 12, 1973, was called <br />to order at 8:00 P. M. by Mayor Bohjanen. Members present: Cardinal, Marier: Absent: <br />Jaworski, Zelinka. Mr. Locher and Mr. Gotwald were present. <br />Mr. Gurtin from the State Forestry Service appeared before the Council to explain the <br />Divisions feeling on burning permits. The service feels that burning permits should be <br />handled at the local level. Our Village has a burning Ordinance and a good one, and Mr. <br />Gurtin felt that this was all we needed to handle the burning permits. At the present <br />time the permits are issued by the State and the people have two sets of rules to fol low <br />and the burnig is done under the State Law which could cause problems as to the <br />enforcement of our Ordinance. <br />
