May 14, 1973 Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the minutes of the Apri 123, 1973 meeting as presented. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. Mr. Resch appeared in behalf of the Lino Lakes Recreation Association asking for permission to use the Hall for a meeting at 8:30 P.M. on May 23, 1973. Mr. Jaworski moved to grant the use of the Hall to the Association. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. The Clerk reported that in order for the new Police Officers to become part of the Police and Fire Fund of the PERA, she needed a resolution to that effect passed by the Village Council. Mr. Zelinka moved to pass the following resolution: "Resolved that the Council of the Village of Lino Lakes duly assembled in meeting on May 14, 1973, does hereby declare that the position now held by Gary P. Dold and Salvatore Costa on a part time basis, is that of a Police Officer as defined in Minnesota Statues, Section 353.64, Subdivision 2, pursuant to which said employees shall become a member of the Public Employees Police and Fi re Fund." Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. Mr. Wally Moen, of the V.F.W. Post appeared before the Council. The V.F.W. Post would like to donate a Flag to the Village, and would like to set a time for a formal dedication presentation and raise the Flag at the same time. He would like to do this at 10:00 A.M. on Memorial Day if this is agreeable with the Counci I. He wi II bring a cerominal team with him. These arrangements were agreeable with the Council members. He would also like to remind the people there will be a Public Memorial Day Service held at the Post at 1 1 :00 A.M. on the same day anll all people are invited to attend. Mr. Zelinka moved to have the Clerk write a letter of appreciation to the Post. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. Mr. Jaworski said in view of the fact that we now have a full time man at the Hall every day, he would move that the Flag only be flown during the hours that the Village Hall is open. There was discussion on this point with Mr. Bohjanen feeling that the Flag should fly 24 hours a day, and Mr. Jaworski feeling that it should not. The motion died for lack of a second. The subject of the Leo Bruder property was opened with Mr. Bohjanen asking for comments from the people in the audience. Mr. and Mrs. C. Frazer were in attendance as was Mr. Hutchinson, from the Anoka Health Department. Mr. Locher gave a brief history of the action that had been taken in the past and the apparent non - results. He had some pictures that were taken recently and said that the property was in better condition than a year ago but that it still left a lot to be desired.
