1 <br />May 14, 1973 <br />Mr. Locher questioned Mr. Hutchinson on the Mutual agreement received <br />from the County in regards to towing cars away. Mr. Hutchinson said <br />this is basically to deal with abandoned cars along the right -of -ways. <br />If we have a working system at the present time, then he would suggest <br />that we continue with that system. <br />The Clerk has received some material concerning Dutch Elm Disease and <br />a form that requires information that is not availabel to the Council. <br />Mr. Hutchinson took a copy and will check into this and send an answer <br />to the Council. <br />The Cferk read letters received from Mr. John Milton and Mr. McGrath <br />concerning the reimbursement for police time spent at the Treatment <br />Center. <br />She had received notices of hearings on: <br />1. the needs of elderly persons <br />2. a conference on financing <br />3. annexation of lands near North Oaks <br />She read a letter from the Anoka County Health Department denying Mr. <br />Donald Allen's request for a landfi 11; reported on a request for a <br />street light on West Shadow Lake Drive. Since this street is not a <br />Village Street, it was suggested that she refer the request to the <br />bui l der. Read a letter from the Anoka County Health Department in <br />regards to the Mr. "T" Motel proposed by Mr. Tagg. There were some <br />adjustments to be made in his specs. This was e copy of the letter <br />that had been sent to Mr. Tagg; read a letter from the Rice Creek <br />Watershed Board of Managers approving the permit for development of <br />U.S. Lakes Plat #3. She reminded the Counci I that the proposed usage <br />report for the Federal Revenue Funds must be determined, puthlished and <br />in the mail by the 20th of June. Mr. Bohjanen asked that this matter <br />be put on the agenda for the next Council meeting. <br />Mr. Bohjanen had no report. <br />Mr. Cardinal was absent. <br />Mr. Jaworski reported that he had met with Columbus and they were <br />agreeable on Pine Street from 4th Avenue to Old Highway #8, but felt that <br />beyond 4th Avenue, Pine Street was not stable enough to put any sort <br />of permanent surface down. They also asked if we could include that <br />portion of Rondeau Lake Road that is in their township on our contract. <br />This would be an addition to our contract and we would bill Columbus <br />Township for the cost on their portion of the road. Mr. Jaworski w i l l <br />meet with Columbus again on May 23, 1973. He had had no report from <br />Hugo concerning the County Line Rend. Mr. Jaworski reported that the <br />stumps on Peltier Lake Drive have been removed. Mr. Jaworski had been <br />asked to get comparative cost on the maintenance of our vehicles from an <br />estalished garage and our own mechanics. The figures from our shop were <br />not available and since two of the Council-men were absent, he would prefer <br />to table this and present it at the next Council meeting. <br />
