140 <br />May 29, 1973 <br />W. ,OPTier asked if this was because of the condition of the Flag for the <br />last couple of- months? <br />Mr. Jaworski said, Yes, and because the Flag takes such a beating in bad <br />weather becasue of the height of the pole. <br />Mr. Bohjanen said there had been no report to the Council that the Flag <br />was torn, and that the old Flag had been too big for the height of the pole. <br />This one was smaller and is a storm Flag that is used aboard ships and made <br />to be flown 24 hours a day. <br />Mrs. Bohjanen asked who will raise the Flag on Saturdays and Sundays? <br />Mr. Jaworski said the motion was that the Flag only be flown during office <br />hours. Mr. Marier stated "you don't see the Flag flying 24 hours over the <br />County Courthouse, do you ?" Mrs. Bohjanen said she didn't know becasue <br />she didn't live in that community. <br />Mr. Cardinal called for a vote on the motion. The motion passed with Mr. <br />Bohjanen voting, No, and Mr. Zelinka abstaining. <br />Mr. Bohjanen reported that the bugler did a splendid job and felt that a <br />letter of "Thanks" should be mailer to him. He will give the name and <br />address to the Clerk. <br />Mr. Zelinka said the Village had loaned the steam cleaner to Forjay for an <br />experiment last week and he felt that they owed the Village a days rental. <br />If the cost will be computed and a bill mailed to them it will be taken care <br />of. Also, they have purchased two units that are larger than ours and if <br />they are needed by the Village, the units are available. <br />Mr. Locher reported that he had not had a meeting with Mr. Dougherty and <br />no report on the sewer situtuation. <br />The Clerk reported that a Mrs. Larson from the Metro Council wi I I at the <br />Village offices on May 30th. She did not know in what connection. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to apply the $1 1 ,030 in Federal Revenue Shaa-i ng monies <br />to the Road budget. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Marier asked for a schedule from the Police Department. He would l i ke <br />the hours the men are scheduled to work -not just the days. <br />Mr. Cardinal asked for total hours worked during the month. Mr. Myhre <br />said this was available from the daily log sheets. He presented a sheet to <br />the Council. Mr. Cardinal said this isn't what he wanted. He asked Mr. <br />Myhre to give the daily log reports to the Clerk for computation. He would <br />like them for the year if possible. Mr. Cardinal moved to have Mr. Myhre <br />turn over the daily log sheets to the Clerk for computation. Seconded by Mr. <br />Zelinka. Motion carried. Mr. Myhre will leave them on her desk. She <br />was instructed to compute the hours for the Counci I . <br />The Council scheduled a meeting with the Police Department on June 4th, <br />1973 at 8:30 P.M. to work out these problems. Mr. Marier suggested <br />meeting with Mr. Backlin the same evening at 9:30 P.M. This was agreeable <br />with the Council. <br />
