May 29, 1973 <br />The Council also asked Mr. Myhre to have the schedule worked out including <br />the hours for them to look at that evening. <br />Mr. Zelinka asked if the Council shouldn't take some action on the resign- <br />ation of Mr. Lundberg? <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to accept the resignation of Mr. Virgil Lundberg from <br />the Police Department and the position of Constable. Seconded by Mr. <br />Zel inka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Zelinka asked if Mr. Lundberg had put in enough hours in May to warrant <br />'a pay check for that month? Mr. Jaworski said this can be worked out at <br />the Police meeting on June 4th. <br />Mr. Zelinka reported on the fact that Anoka County now owns the Majestic <br />Golf Course and leases it to the community. The ownership of the golf <br />course at Country Lake had entered into the conversation at the Open <br />Space Meeting and he wondered if this would be something for the Council <br />to look into. There was discussion but no decision was made. <br />Mr. Marier brought the subject of the money in escrow by U,S, LAkes to <br />pay off the Improvement bonds for the water and sewer in the Country Lake <br />area. This should be checked out for the next Council meeting. <br />Mr. Marier also asked Mr. Locher to get a copy of the "Sunshine Law" <br />passed by the Legislature. <br />There was discussion on the age limit on drinking since the new law goes <br />into effect on the 1st of June. Our Ordinance only says "minors" and <br />does not specify the age. <br />Mr. Locher had checked Mr. Cichy's application for a liquor l i cense and <br />found there is no insurance policies. Also, the retail off -sale license <br />must have a $3000.00 surety bond and the one enclosed is only for $1000.00. <br />This will have to be changed. <br />Mr. Marier moved to hold the application until the requirements are <br />fulfi I led. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve requistions #263 through #265, holding #266. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to pay bills #5136 through #5150 inclusive. Seconded <br />by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. <br />The Council agreed to hold payroll check #2082 for discussion with the <br />Police Department at their meeting on June 4, 1973. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn at 11:30 P.M.
