1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />April 22, 1974 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />April 22, 1974 by Acting Mayor Zelinka. Members present; Jaworski, Marier, McLean. <br />Absent Bohjanen. Mr. Locher was also present. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the minutes of April 8, 1974 as written. Seconded by <br />Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />The Clerk had a letter from the Attorney General's office in the .form of a release <br />to be signed by the Clerk. This release is in conjunction with the claim filed by <br />the Police Department for assistance with runaways at the Treatment Center. Mr. <br />Jaworski moved to authorize the Clerk to sign the releases and return to the <br />Attorney General. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />A letter from the North Suburban Sewer Service Board announcing a meeting to be <br />held on April 30, 1974 at the Fridley City Hall was read. Mr. Marier felt that it <br />was most important that all members of the Council attend this meeting. Mr. Jaworski <br />requested the Clerk to mail a reminder to the Council members on this meeting. <br />The City received reimbursement from the Metro Sewer Board for the sewage hauling <br />for the month of March in the amount of $775.00. <br />The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Blatnik requesting additional information on the <br />need for an interchange at County Road #14. Mr. Jaworski will collect this infor- <br />mation and forward to Mr. Blatnik. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency notifying the <br />City that the permit application for Lino Lakes designated "Sanitary Sewer Exten- <br />sion, Lino Lakes Shenandoah Plot" Permit No. 8312 had been approved April 16, 1974. <br />The Clerk was asked to make copies of this letter for the Planning and Zoning <br />Board members. <br />There was a letter from North Central Public Service Company explaining that due to <br />a reduction in natural gas rate from Northern Natural to North Central, there will <br />be refunds to customers. The computed refunds for spaceheat should amount to about <br />$14.70. A copy of this letter is to be sent to the Council Liaison member. <br />The matter of the lot for sale for ta± forfeiture was discussed. This lot 9, Block <br />2, Lexington Park Lakeview Addition. This lot is located on Sunset just north of <br />Glenview. After discussion, the Council decided that this is not land that the <br />City wished to acquire. The Clerk was instructed to notify the Anoka County Auditor <br />that we do not wish to purchase the lot. <br />The Clerk had received a request from Northwestern Bell Telephone for permission <br />to install buried lines on 20th Ave. South from Main Street to Birch Street. The <br />Clerk was instructed to mail this request to Mr. Gotwald. <br />Mr. Marier presented his report as liasion to the Planning and Zoning Board. At <br />the meeting on April 17, 1974. Mr. Norman Paulsrud had appeared asking for a <br />variance to use his garage as a sheet metal shop for a period of one year. This <br />is to get his business established. The P &Z had recommended approval of this request <br />with the following provisions: Work to be done only between the hours of 8:00 a.m. <br />and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except Holidays, time to be limited to 10 hours <br />per week. No raw materials to be stored outside. The P &Z recommended approval of <br />this variance for a period of one year. Mr. Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Motion carried. <br />
