1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />May 13, 1974 <br />Read a letter from the DNR in connection with the Municipal Shoreland Management <br />Act. The Council suggested that copies of the City's Comprehensive Land Use Plan <br />& Plumbing Code be sent to this Department, also, informing them that all shore - <br />lands within the City of Lino Lakes are either included in the Anoka County Open <br />Space Program or controlled by the Rice Creek Watershed District. The Council felt <br />thereā€¢is no need for any Ordinance governing development in shoreland areas. The <br />Clerk was instructed to send this information to the DNR. <br />Read a letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities setting forth the new <br />laws governing precincts. Since there is only one Precinct in Lino Lakes, the <br />Clerk does not have to be concerned with this law at this time. <br />Mr. Frank Resch had requested the use of the Hall on May 29, 1974 at 8:00 p.m. <br />for a meeting of the Lino Atheltic Association. Mr. Zelinka so moved. Seconded <br />by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Received $825.00 from the Metro Sewer Board as payment for sewage hauling for <br />April. <br />The Letter from Mr. Lombardi requesting a lower speed limit on East Shadow Lake <br />Drive. The suggestion of a petition with 75% of the signatures be obtained and <br />sent to the State Highway Department. If approval is given by the Highway Dept. <br />the City had no objections. Mr. Zelinka moved to write to Mr. Lombardi with this <br />information. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Read a letter from the Anoka County Highway Department informing the Council <br />That the request for speed control signs on County Road J has been forwarded <br />to the State Highway Department for study and recommendations. <br />Read a request from Rev. Wirth of St. Joseph's Church requesting bingo permits <br />for June 12th and August 11, 1974. Mr. Zelinka moved to approve Bingo permits <br />for St. Joseph's Church for the remainder of 1974 providing they are applied <br />for at the time needed. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Read a letter from Debra Nadeau in connection with the bicycle races held last <br />month on the service roads on either side of I35E. She felt this was a fine <br />thing for our area and the negitative reaction in the Circulating Pines <br />was out of line. The Council's only concern was for the safety of the participants <br />and basically there was no objections. Reported that the planned use report for <br />the Federal Revenue Sharing Entitlement peroid number 5 has been received and <br />must be filled out and returned in order for the report to arrive in Washington <br />before June 24, 1974. This report will considered at the next Council meeting. <br />The Clerk reminded the Council that the next meeting falls on a legal Holiday. <br />The meeting will be held on May 28, 1974. <br />Reported that the notices of the Board of Review meeting to be held on May 21, <br />1974 have been published and posted. <br />Read a letter from the State of Minnesota announcing hearing to be held regarding <br />Cable Communications. <br />Senator John Milton was in the audience. Mayor Bohjanen asked if he had any comment <br />he would like to make. <br />
