Mr. Locher noted that he had lived for nine years within <br />one block of the Anoka tower and had no problems. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to grant the Special Use Permit to Midwest Radio - Television, <br />Ina., according to Mr. Memmer',s resolution, to wit: <br />RESOLUTION <br />Resolved: That a Special Use Permit is hereby granted to Midwest <br />Radio and Television, Inc., to construct and maintain a radio trans- <br />mitting antenna tower, approximately 1,200 feet in height above <br />grade level, together with a building.to house necessary trans- <br />mitting equipment. This Special Use Permit applies to the South <br />2,000 feet of the West 2,000 feet of the Northwest Quarter of Sec- <br />tion 33, Twp, 31, Range 22, Anoka County, Minnesota, and the appli- <br />cant shall have the right to proceed with such use at any time <br />between the date hereof and July 1st 1975, thereby allowing approxi- <br />mately four years for the said applicant,or its successor t obtain <br />the lawfully required permits, approvals, or orders from state and <br />or Federal agencies therewith concerned; subject to the understand- <br />ing that as soon as Federal or other authorities so permit the <br />applicant shall submit building specifications and landscaping and <br />tree - planting proposals to the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning <br />Commission so that the permitted use hereby authorized and approved <br />shall, to the greatest possible extent, retain the appearance of <br />the above described permit premises as an area of woodland and <br />green vegetation., <br />and according to the Engineer's recommendations; also that no building permit be <br />issued until all plans are presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and <br />that authorization from the Federal agencies is received by the Council. Motion <br />seconded by W. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Memmer presented Mr. Lewis, General Manager. Mr. Cardinal moved to adjourn <br />the hearing at 9 :37 ?.M. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried unanimously. , <br />The regular meeting was reopened. Mr, Jaworski reported that through the <br />efforts of an ex -Park Board member, we had obtained a jungle gym, two back -stops <br />and some fencing; it was possible that more equipment could be obtained in the <br />future also. <br />Mr. Jaworski had also received a complaint on a vacant house at 6156 Sunset. <br />Joe Davis reported that the house had been burned out at 3:30 A.M. this morning. <br />Mr. Jaworski had looked at the house, which was the old Marshall Stam,residence, <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to issue a 3.2 beer permit and a bingo permit for the rest of <br />the year to St. Joseph's Church, particularly for August 8th. Seconded by Mr. <br />Cardinal. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Rosengren reported that they had mixed a lot of blacktop so far; they had <br />tried mixing the oil with our blow sand and had found that it takes more oil, <br />but it doesn't have to be hauled so far. He stated that they would like to <br />blacktop the portion of West Rondeau Lake Road from Main Street as far as it is <br />heavily traveled; they would use'oux own material stored at the Hall. <br />Mr. Rosengren stated that they had an estimate of doing .8 mile on the North end <br />of Ware Road: Seal coating -- $2,000; Blacktop -- $4,800 for a 2" mat, Mr. Rosengren <br />
