7 6 <br />2/14/72 <br />to well in Chomonix and that the water was okay; it stated that this temporary <br />well should be replaced by the permanent well no later than August 1, 1972. A <br />letter from the Conservation Dept. stated that they were not appointing any <br />State Township Fire Wardens in the populated areas at the present time; they <br />requested copies of our burning ordinances - -these will be sent. <br />The Clerk stated that the GOP had requested use of the Hall for their city <br />convention on February 29th; there were no objections. Notices had been re- <br />ceived on the Forest Lake Township incorporation and Forest Lake annexation. <br />A letter from the Insurance Services Office of Minnesota stated that the <br />Village's fire classification of Class 10 would remain in effect due to the <br />wording of the fire contracts. Mr. Bohjanen stated that he was working on that <br />with the fire chiefs, and that with the mutual aid agreement we would hope to <br />get in Class 9; both chiefs would be sending letters. <br />A letter was received from Columbus Township asking the Council to meet with <br />them concerning the contract on the grader and operator. Mr. Bohjanen turned <br />the matter over to Mr. Jaworski to set a meeting with Columbus; Mr. Bohjanen <br />will attend also. A report was received on the allocation of federal monies <br />for MSB projects; the Clerk will make copies. <br />The Clerk stated that Mr. Backlin and Mr. Gunderson had chosen a storage cabi- <br />net from the Superior Products catalog; our cost would be $51.00. Mr. Marier <br />moved to authorize the purchase of the cabinet. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Sarner, Assessor, had written a note stating that her calculator was mal- <br />functioning again; she had O tained prices on several machine and favored one <br />which she was using as a demonstrator, a Singer - Friden non - printing electronic <br />calculator for $385.00 Mr. Bohjanen stated that he had gotten more prices; <br />he gave this material to Mrs. Swanson and asked her to look into the matter <br />and report at the next meeting. Mr. Marier felt we should check into the cost <br />of repairing the old one for next time. <br />Three letters received from the Engineers were held for Mr. Gotwald's report. <br />Materials on various workshops had been received. Mrs. Swanson recommended <br />that the Clerk attend a financial seminar in June which might be beneficial. <br />Mr. Jaworski reported that Roy Backlin had suggested purchasing quick couplers <br />for the flooding hoses since the old couplers leak and freeze up as well as <br />make holes in the ice when they won't shut off. Mr. Jaworski moved to pur- <br />chase 6 sets of quick couplers at the cost of $10.50 per set. Seconded by Mr. <br />Marier. Carried unanimously. Mr. Jaworski reported that they were getting <br />two doors for the warming house; he is keeping track of these park items be- <br />cause he is down there every day. <br />Mr. Jaworski noted, concerning Roads, we should look into getting a new sander. <br />We paid $200 for the old one years ago; he thought we should get the spin -type <br />which will save on the cost of sand; he can get bids. Mr. Jaworski also <br />thought we should consider getting a new truck; he will let us know what needs <br />to be done to the old one. Mr. Marier felt we should get. bids and suggested <br />paying off the present loan first; the Clerk noted that there was only one pay- <br />ment to go. Mr. Jaworski felt that the specs should be changed before bids <br />are let, for instance specifying a double -faced clutch. <br />Mr. Jaworski said he understood that some of the Council members had requested <br />keys for the Clerk's office and wondered why they wanted them. Mr. Marier <br />stated that he requested one because sometimes after meetings he wanted to get <br />
