5/16/72 Mrs. Sarner noted that this was under non- homstead taxes and_that_ the acreage was assessed at $450.00 per acre on high land. This $35,000 plus did not consider green acres. Green acres had to be in by May 1st and they aren't in these records. They're working on them now. Mr. Nadeau said the silo was over 40 years old and really wasn't worth anything. Mrs. Sarner said she would look at it this year. Mr.Nadeau also said the 40 acres just north of this (Parcel 13000) went up about 50 %. Mrs. Sarner said the land is more valuable to the south end of the village. 33 acres of this land is tillable and is set at $450. per acre. Mr. Marier wondered how adaptable this base is in the "tier system" on land sold. He would like a criteria of the total value of that property. Where do you get the difference? He feels it is an arbitrary figure. Mrs. Sarner went over the changes on the sheet titled "Recommended Changes for 1972 Assessments ". Most of these changes were the lowering of assessments on prefabricated homes. At the last meeting Mrs. Anderson questioned whether prefabricated homes were assessed the same as others. She discussed this with Mr. Schwartz and he too thought they should use a different rate for these homes. So she went through and lowered them, just on the houses, not on garages. A couple of the changes on this sheet were clerical errors. Mr. Jaworski moved pass on the recommendation presented on the sheet marked (1), Plat 87255. This was a clerical error. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried unanimously. Mr. Marier moved to pass that the by the Assessor. Seconded by Mr. Mr. Jaworski moved to pass on the on the sheet "Recommended Changes Carried unanimously. Reiling valuation be left the same as presented Jaworski, Carried unanimously. recommendations of the a- sessor as presented for 1972 Assessments ". Seconded by Mr. Marier. Mr. Marier moved to do all necessary paper work as required by these changes. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried unanimously. Representatives of the Drifter's Snowmobile Club asked permission to use the Hall on Saturday, June 24th, for the coronation of a Queen. Mr. Jaworski moved to allow them to use the Village Hall for this purpose. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried unanimously. Mr. Jaworski moved to adjorn at 10:40 P. M. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried unanimously.
