6/6/72 <br />277 <br />Mr. Bohjanen had received a letter from the County Auditor after the last meeting <br />which gave details of the meeting to be held on June 7th for the prupose of making <br />a recommendation for the Metro Transit Commission seat now held by Bruce Nawrocki. <br />Mr. Bohjanen wished the Council to recommend a name for him to vote for at that <br />meeting. <br />After discussion, Mr. Cardinal moved that Mr. Bohjanen be mandated by the Council <br />to voted for Bruce Nawrocki to retain his seat on the Metro Transit Commission. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. Carried unanimously. Mr. Bohjanen noted that he would <br />have 3 votes at that meeting according to our population. <br />Mr. Marier moved to adjourn the meeting but withdrew the motion on Mr. Jaworski's <br />request to consider another item. <br />Mr. Jaworski stated that he had called the Attorney who had drafted an agreement <br />on removing the trees along Sunrise AVenue onthe land owned by St. Joe's Church. <br />He stated that the agreement had been read to Father Wirth and he was agreeable <br />to signing it. There was no money involved. The Church had decided to sell the <br />parcel, and the new owner will have to give the necessary easement before he can <br />develop it. Mr. Jaworski noted that the tree removal is necessary to make room for <br />snow removal; the ditches will be sloped. <br />Mr. Marier moved that we authorize Mr. Jaworski and Mr. Locher to make the <br />transactions necessary to remove the trees along the East side of Sunrise Avenue, <br />with the agreement to be approved at the next meeting. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. <br />Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal stated that the Parks Dept. was running into a problem in that they <br />needed a in electric drill to make the holes necessary to put up the bleachers. <br />Mr. Marier said he could bring a drill, and asked who was putting the bleachers in. <br />Mr. Cardinal said the Village crew was. Mr. Marier thought he should refer back <br />to the minutes to see if there was any reference as to who would put up the bleachers, <br />noting that things should be done according to the way it is said in the minutes <br />(referring to County men). Mr. Jaworski said the minutes only referred to painting <br />the bleachers and that the regular winter crew was told they could expect to <br />participate in summer park maintenance. <br />There was more discussion. <br />Mr. Marier moved to adjourn at 8:40 P. " <br />Clem - Treasure r <br />6/12/72 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council held on June 12, 1972, was <br />called to order by Mayor Bohjanen at 8 P.M. Present were Trustees Cardinal, <br />Jaworski and Marier. Also present were Attorney Locher and Engineer Gotwald. <br />The first order of business was to appoint a new Trustee to fill the vacancy. <br />Mr. Cardinal nominated Mr. John McLean, making note of the fact that he has served <br />the Village on the Personnel Commission, the Building Committee, and at present <br />is the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Vote: <br />Mr. Cardinal, Yes; Mr. Jaworski, Yes, Mr. Marier, NO; Mr. Bohjanen, No. Motion <br />failed. <br />Mr. Marier nominated Mr. Dick Zelinka, a preminent man in the community, as Trustee. <br />
