42 <br />March 22, 1976 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:00 <br />P. M. on March 22, 1976 by Mayor Bohjanen. Council members present; Karth, <br />McLean, Schneider, Zelinka. Absent; None. Mr. Locher was also present. <br />After consideration of the minutes of March 8, 1976, Mr. Zelinka moved to approve <br />as presented. Seconded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Bohjanen introduced Mrs. Ronald Jaworski, representing the Lino Lakes <br />Lionettes. Mrs. Jaworski presented Chief Myhre with six blankets for use in <br />the squad cars. These blankets had been purchased by the Lionettes as a ser- <br />vice project of that orginazation. <br />Chief Myhre thanked her and the Lionettes for the gift. He said the old blan- <br />kets are just about worn out. Mayor Bohjanen also thanked Mrs. Jaworski for the <br />gift and asked her to relay the City's appreciation for their service to this <br />community. <br />The Clerk reported on the following items; <br />..Read a letter from Mr. George Gotwald on the status of the wells. The well <br />at Sunrise is in and completed. The well at the Hall is in but the electrical <br />cable must be buried. Mr. Gotwald recommended withholding $300.00 until the <br />work is completed. Mr. Karth so moved. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carr- <br />ied unanimously. <br />..The Police Contract with Centerville was discussed. The CLerk read the add- <br />endum in reference to the cost factor. There was some discussion on the need <br />for this addition. Mr. Locher said the City must have some means of alloc- <br />ating the additional costs, if there are extra costs. Mr. Zelinka moved to <br />approve the Police Contract with the City of Centerville, including the add- <br />endum. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />..Read a letter from the Mayor of Bloomington thanking the Council for expre- <br />ssing their opinion on the staduim issue. <br />..Read a letter from the City of Lexington in reference to the use of the 427 -1212 <br />number as the emergency number for the Lexington Fire Department. There will <br />be a gradual change over to this number and the old one will not be disconn- <br />ected at this time. <br />..Municipal fines for the month of February received in March were $204.00. <br />..Read a Resolution passed by the City of Circle Pines approving the Anoka <br />County Highway Department's plans for the improvements on North Road. <br />..Read a letter of 'Thanks' from Mr. William Mattke, Superintendent of Cent- <br />ennial Schools in reference to the Summer Recreational Program. <br />..Received the first quarter State Aid check in the amount of $20,703.59. <br />..Presented easement requests by the Metropolitan Waste'Control Commission for <br />access across the land owned by the Saint Paul Water Department that is leas- <br />ed by the City. With the indecision as to which direction the interceptor <br />will be installed, there are two easement requests. After some discussion, <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the requests with the stipulation that the un- <br />used easement will be cancelled. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />..The cost figure for printing the Information Guides is approximately $55.00 <br />for 1000. Mayor Bohjanen said Mr. Burman had offered to mail these and he <br />wondered if 1000 would be sufficient. After some dis cussion, Mr. Karth <br />moved to order the printing of 1200 at 0.052¢ per copy. If the cost is more, <br />then cut back to the original 1000 figure. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Schneider reported on the meeting of the Park, Recreational and Enviornmental <br />
