98 <br />June 14, 1976 <br />..The disposition of the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds was discussed. An analysis <br />of the funds had been prepared by the office with the suggested amounts to be trans- <br />ferred according tb the planned use reportt. There is a balance remaining which show *di <br />be used to cover the cost of the tree inspector and his expenses since there had not <br />been budgeting to cover this cost and the original intent to apply Federal Revenue <br />Sharing Funds for this expense was approved by Council action. The Clerk was instr- <br />ucted to finalize these figures for Cbuncil action at the next meeting. <br />..A copy of the Permit Number 9206 for construction and operation of a sewer exten- <br />sion in Lino Lakes issued by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency had been received. <br />..A copy of the Resolution approving the City's Sewer Charges had been received. <br />Mayor Bohjanen introduced Mr. Bill Houle for a report from the Bi- Centennial Committee. <br />Mr. Houle reported the Committee is planning an antique show from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 <br />P.M. on June 26, 1976 in conjunction with the presentation of the Bi- Centennial Flag <br />designating this City as a Bi- Centennial City. The presentation of the Flag will <br />be at 1:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers. The Flag will then be raised. Mr. Houle <br />felt that Sen. Milton will rhake the presentation. <br />Mr. Houle requested the use of the garage for the antiques show. This would necess- <br />itate the presence of someone to move the vehicles out and make sure the garage is <br />clear. There will also be food available by the way of soft drink wagons. <br />Mr. McLean asked if this is to be just an antique show or will therealso be items <br />for sale. Mr. Houle said it would be both. <br />Mayor Bohjanen said the City must be sure of the proper insurance. This is to be <br />checked with the Attorney. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve this request for the use of the garage on June 26, 1976 <br />by the Bi- Centennial Committee for their program. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Houle presented the Council members with a resume' on himself asking that he be <br />considered for the vacant position now existing on the Planning and Zoning Board. <br />Since one other name has been submitted for this position, Mr. McLean moved this <br />matter be put on the agenda for the June 28 1976 Council meeting for action. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. Karth. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. McLean asked if an absent Council member can register a vote on something he knows <br />will be discussed and he has a positive opinion on the matter? There were no opin- <br />ions as to the legality of this and the Attorney will be asked for the answer. <br />Mayor Bohjanen discussed the meeting with the Centerville Council and their concerns <br />over the policing of the County Park on the South end of Centerville Lake. This is <br />the responsibility of the Anoka County Park Department and a joint letter to Mr. 'Jai/id <br />Torkeldson (with a copy to Mr. Burman) is to be written asking them to comply with <br />the stipulations as set forth in the Open Space Agreement. <br />Mr. Karth presented each Council Member with a proposal for the up grading of the <br />City Streets and the work that will have to be contracted. He plans to go over this <br />list with Mr. Volk this Saturday for the possible elimination and addition of some <br />streets. He asked the members to study this for recommendations. <br />Mr. Schneider questioned when this work would have to be paid for and Mr. Karth said <br />the work will start in July with the payments coming due in August and September. <br />
