1 1 September 13, 1976 The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:00 P.M. on September 13, 1976 by Mayor Bohjanen. Council members present; Karth, Schneider. Absent; McLean, Zelinka. Mr. Locher and Mr. Gotwald were present. The minutes of August 16, 1976 and August 23, 1976 must be held for approval until the meeting of September 27, 1976 due to lack of a quorum of the members present at those meetings. The Clerk reported on the following items; ..A copy of the Natural Resources Model Ordinances had been received from the Met- ropolitan Council. Copies have been made for members of the Planning and Zoning Board. ..Information from the Metropolitan Transit Commission concerning Federal Aid Ur- ban Program - all members have a copy. ..A letter from the Blaine Midway All Pets, Inc. had been received - all members have a copy. ..A letter from Mr. Frank Marzitelli, Commissioner of Highways designating County Road 14 and County Road 23 North of 14 as haul roads in conjunction with the up- grading of County Road 23 in Columbus Township. ..The information contained in the dues from the League of Minnesota Cities is cor- rect in that the population figures is the 1970 census figure of 3,692. Mr. Schn- eider suggested this matter be discussed at the budget hearings. ..A policy statement from the Metropolitan Council on the Resource Recovery Facil- ities for Amendment to the Metropolitan Development Guide on Solid Waste Manage- ment. All members have a copy. ..Receipt of $3,300.00 as reimbursement from the State for the attendance of three officers to the BCA. ..A note from Mr. David Torkildson, Anoka County Park Director, informing the Coun- cil the County Park Department will be responsible for the inspection and removal of diseased trees in the parkland. ..A letter from the Anoka County Comprehensive Health Department setting the dates and times for flu immunization shots. This will be posted and has also been pub- lished in the local papers. ..A copy of the permit for pumping water issued to the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission by the Department of Natural Resourses in conjunction with the install- ation of the interceptor. ..District Nine of the Minnesota Department of Highways is holding Highway Days on September 23, 24 & 25 at Maplewood Mall. All are invited to attend. ..All Council members received a copy of the letter from Mr. Burman in answer to the speed study request. ..Mr. Schneider asked for a clarification as to the problems with Mrs. Oman coll- ecting unemployment. The Clerk reported that she had received a request for sal- ary earned by this employee for a period of time. This had been reported.
