1 <br />1 <br />November 8, 1976 <br />Mr. Gotwald said he had inspected the sewer installation in the Shenandoah plat <br />and felt this system is complete. The lift station is wired and the pumps should <br />be installed on November 9, 1976. The Contractor will rig up a connection that <br />will fit the sewer truck so the effluent can be pumped. He would recommend this <br />system be accepted by the Council as a City system after proof that all the bills <br />are paid by the contractor. Mr. Zelinka so moved. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Gotwald will check and call the Clerk's office when the residents can hook <br />into the system. <br />Mr. Gotwald said he had also inspected the streets in Shenandoah. He reminded the <br />Clerk that all bills submitted by him should be sent to the developer for payment <br />first, then his firm paid. He was referring to Pine Vista and Pine Haven in part- <br />icular. <br />There was no old Business nor any New Business. <br />On considering the requisitions, Chief Myhre was questioned on the need for the <br />evidence cabinets. He explained this is necessary for the courts, to have a place <br />to put evidence so it cannot be tampered with and this can be presented to the <br />Court at the time of the trials. Mr. Locher said this is becoming more and more <br />important in the out come of some cases. <br />Mr. McLean and Mr. Zelinka felt that a used unit that could serve could be found. <br />This requisition was deferred to the next Council meeting - each member will check <br />for a substitute. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve requisitions #714 and #715, holding #716. Seconded <br />by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to approve checks #7429 through and including #7466. Seconded <br />by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. McLean asked about the pile of trees behind the City Hall. The Clerk said <br />that a burning permit had been applied for but not received as yet. Mr. McLean <br />suggested getting a chipper from the,.County or someplace in order to clear the <br />area.. <br />Mayor Bohjanen wondered if some of the State funding could not be used for that <br />purpose. The Clerk is to contact Mr. Beach for information. <br />Mr. Zelinka moved to adjourn at 10:55 p.M. Seconded by Mr. Schneider.
