Their
recommendation was one day per month accumulative to 120 days. Mr. Zelinka so
moved. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Zelinka said
there had been some discussion of perhaps paying for a portion of the unused sick
leave at retirement or termination of employment, but there had not been any re-
commendation. This will be discussed more at later meetings.
The Personnel Commission had recommended the following schedule for vacation time
for fulltime employees; 5 days after on year; 10 days after 2 years; 15 days after
10 years; and 20 days after 15 years. There was discussion as to when the vacation
time should become effective. There is a 30' driveway easement and Mr. Gotwald felt the best
way to handle this matter is give the permit on an easement.
The only other way would be for the home owners in the area to petition the Council
for a street. The Council would then have to condemn the right -of -way, construct
the street and assess the property owners.
Mr. McLean was concerned about providing fire coverage with just an easement.
He felt there should be some way to put a turn around in that area. Mr. McLean
suggested asking all parties involved to come to the next Council meeting in or-
der to find a way to solve this problem. The Clerk is to contact the other two
property owners. Mayor Bohjanen asked they put on the agenda at 8:30 P.M.
