Mayor Bohjanen asked that the matter of the Centerville Police Contract be <br />tabled until the January 24, 1977 meeting. Mr. Karth so moved. Seconded by <br />Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />After some discussion, Mr. Zelinka moved to apply for the Errors and Ommission <br />Insurance on an annual basis. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Karth had no road report. <br />Mr. McLean reported on the approval of a time extension granted by the Metrop- <br />olitan Council in conjunction with the work being done by the Planning and <br />Zoning Board. <br />Mr. McLean also reported on the meeting on December 28, 1976. Mr. McLean, <br />Mr. Locher, Mr. Gotwald, Mr. Short and Mr. Gourley had met and gone through <br />the proposal for submission to the Planning and Zoning Board at the scheduled <br />meeting on January 19, 1977. This rough draft will then be presented to the <br />Council for preliminary review before being sent to the Metropolitan Council <br />for preliminary review. It will be before the City Council for final approval <br />after any suggested changes have been incorporated. <br />Mr. Karth asked for the use of the City Hall on January 26, 1977 by the Lino <br />Athletic Assoc. for a meeting. Since this is a free evening, Mr. Karth moved <br />to approve the request. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr.- McLean said a meeting to review the work done on the Chain of Lakes Park <br />has been scheduled for January 26, 1977 at the Activity Center in Bunker Park. <br />Mr. Torkildson will be sending invitations to all Council members, Park Board <br />members and Planning and Zoning Board members. This meeting is scheduled for <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Mr. Zelinka said there had not been a Personnel Commission meeting but he will <br />be scheduling one probably before the next Council meeting. He has received <br />four other proposals for employee insurance and will be presenting this to the <br />Commission for a recommendation to the Council. <br />The Clerk reported on the following items for Council consideration: <br />..Read a letter from Governor Rudy Perpich acknowledging the letter recommending <br />the re- appointment of Mrs. Opal Peterson to the Metropolitan Council; <br />..Read a letter from the Anoka Soil & Water Conservation District announcing <br />they will be doing an inventory of the natural resources in the County. Mr. <br />McLean felt this has already been done by the City, the Metro Council, the <br />DNR, the Rice Creek Watershed Board and possibly several other agencies. He <br />felt this is overlaying work already done and someone should let them know <br />how the communities feel about the waste of time and money. The Clerk was <br />instructed to answer this letter in that line of thought. <br />..Reported the Tax Equivalency payment from the Metropolitan Council for the <br />land acquired for the Chain of Lakes Open Space had been received in the amount <br />of $3,012.73. <br />..Reported an informational letter from the Federal Revenue Sharing office had <br />been received. There are some changes in the regulations. A planned use <br />report is no longer required and the checks are mailed directly to the bank. <br />..All Council members have a copy of the actual use report for the last pay- <br />
