% <br />April 25, 1977 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 8:00 P.M., <br />April 25, 1977, by Mayor Bohjanen. Council members present; Karth, McLean, Schneider, <br />Zelinka. Absent; None. Mr. Locher was also present. <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of April II, 1977 as presented. Seconded by <br />Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Tom Thelen, from the League of Minnesota Cities, was here to discuss services avail- <br />able to the City through that organization. He gave a brief history of the League, <br />listed some of the services offered to the member cities. Mr. Thelen discussed the <br />lobbying activities of the League and what they try to accomplish. He said they were <br />effective in getting the unemployment compensation changed to exclude persons who just <br />quit their jobs for no reason, or at least, had assisted in the process. <br />Mr. Thelen said the service is available and the League is more than eager to provide <br />what ever information is asked for and they urge all member cities to use their ser- <br />vices as often as is necessary. <br />He thanked the Council for inviting him and said that he would remain at the meeting, <br />if any other questions should occur to the Council. <br />The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration: <br />..$507.67 in municipal fines had been received for the month of March; <br />..$1,292.00 for sewage hauling for the month of March; <br />..Read a letter of Thanks to the Civil Defense from Mr. Kenneth Rehbein for their <br />assistance at the High School Rodeo hetd in March; <br />..Mr. Christianson, from the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission had called and asked <br />for a letter over the Mayor's signature asking that the sewer project on LaMotte Road <br />be included as a part of the City's Interim Comprehensive Sewer Plan and an estimate <br />of the connections for the next four years be included. The Clerk had asked Mr. Got - <br />wald about this and he said this is part of the process for the inclusion of this pro- <br />ject in the Centerville plans. Mr. McLean moved to authorize the letter. Seconded <br />by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />..Mr. Bob Burman had left copies of the tax forfeit land that is available to the City. <br />After some discussion, Mr. McLean moved to ask Mr. Burman to hold this land for the City. <br />Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Public Hearing for Shenandoah #2 was called to order at 8:30 P.M. Mr. Locher read <br />the legal publication. The affadavit of publication had been received by the Clerk. <br />Mr. Rehbein indicated the map with the suggested changes made by the Engineer, he also <br />indicated the dedicated park area. This will abutt the dedicated park area in Shenandoah <br />#I. Mr. Rehbein indicated these areas will be graded and seeded. <br />The Attorney indicated to Mr. Rehbein it would be necessary to get the approval of the <br />State Board of Health and the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission for the extension <br />of the sewer lines into that area. Mr. Locher felt the City could approve the plat as <br />presented. This would allow Mr. Rehbein to proceed on the approvals necessary to install <br />the sewer lines. <br />
