It is not right that the worst land should be
left for industry. He felt that some landscaping should be done to enhance the
Rehbein bus barn on Hodgson Road.
Mr. Van Housen stressed once again that the Village should give consideration to
bringing in sewer and water. However, developers must pay their share. He then
suggested thatthe Council get some ideas to give to the P&Z regarding goals,
population, etc.
There was further discussion of the Uniform Building Code. Mr. Van Housen suggested
'rather that we look into the St. Paul Building Codes as they are quite strict.
Even ours is preferable to parts of the Uniform Code.
He again suggested that we take a good look at his proposals, that they would be
something for the Attorney to hang his hat on.
Mr. McLean commented that often prior notice of hearings, etc., were read in the
paper. He felt they should have time to study these things before the meeting.
The Clerk was instructed to send copies of the proposals to the P&Z members. They
were placed on the agenda for Oct. 27th. Mr. Van Housen especially wished that
items one and two be considered. Mr. McLean stated that the P&Z would study the
Uniform Building Code next time and asked that Mr. Van Housen be present. He will
try.
The Clerk was instructed to get copies of the St. Paul Code. The meeting ended
about 10:00 p.m.
Minutes approved at the meeting of October 13, 1969 2. -, <
/Clerk-Treasurer
The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council held on October 13, 1969 was
called to order at 8:13 p.m. by Acting Mayor Bohjanen.
