1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />The slides were viewed again. Mr. Van Housen mentioned that a satellite city <br />might form between the freeways. It is not right that the worst land should be <br />left for industry. He felt that some landscaping should be done to enhance the <br />Rehbein bus barn on Hodgson Road. <br />Mr. Van Housen stressed once again that the Village should give consideration to <br />bringing in sewer and water. However, developers must pay their share. He then <br />suggested thatthe Council get some ideas to give to the P&Z regarding goals, <br />population, etc. <br />There was further discussion of the Uniform Building Code. Mr. Van Housen suggested <br />'rather that we look into the St. Paul Building Codes as they are quite strict. <br />Even ours is preferable to parts of the Uniform Code. <br />He again suggested that we take a good look at his proposals, that they would be <br />something for the Attorney to hang his hat on. <br />Mr. McLean commented that often prior notice of hearings, etc., were read in the <br />paper. He felt they should have time to study these things before the meeting. <br />The Clerk was instructed to send copies of the proposals to the P&Z members. They <br />were placed on the agenda for Oct. 27th. Mr. Van Housen especially wished that <br />items one and two be considered. Mr. McLean stated that the P&Z would study the <br />Uniform Building Code next time and asked that Mr. Van Housen be present. He will <br />try. <br />The Clerk was instructed to get copies of the St. Paul Code. The meeting ended <br />about 10:00 p.m. <br />Minutes approved at the meeting of October 13, 1969 2. -, < <br />/Clerk-Treasurer <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council held on October 13, 1969 was <br />called to order at 8:13 p.m. by Acting Mayor Bohjanen. Also present were W. Jaworski <br />and Mr. Cardinal; absent were Mr. L'Allier and Mr. Rosengren, both out of state. <br />The minutes of the September 22 meeting were amended by adding "Mr. Cardinal moved <br />to adopt Ordinance No. 50 dealing with the raising of the penalties on the ordinances. <br />Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried." <br />Corrections to the September 22nd minutes were made and Mr. Jaworski moved to accept <br />these minutes as corrected and amended. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />Mr. Cardinal moved to accept the minutes of the September 25th budget meeting as <br />written. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to table the minutes of the special September 29th meeting with <br />Springsted Inc. on Mr. Bohjanen's suggestion (since he had not been present at same). <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal.
