1
1
1
Mr. Locher asked whether we had required applicants for special use permits to make
a deposit before the hearing, and was told no. Mr. Locher felt that applicants
should be written on this and suggested that a minimum of $100 1:)e deposited on
any application before hearings are set up; this would usually cover at least the
Attorney's fees.
Mr. Bohjanen moved that any future special use permit applications be accompanied
by a $100 good -faith deposit; that any such hearing would not open unless the
deposit were in; that we stress that this in no way assures that the permit will
be granted. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously.
Mr. Locher stated that he had been asked about the Clerk's refusal to accept the
petition on Sunday; he stated that the petition should have been turned in during
regular office hours or at the meeting, as it was; also, that if the Clerk had
accepted the petition on Sunday, it would have made it null and void.
Mr. Locher also mentioned that his law firm gets a commercial 2; discount from
Superamerica and also an additional rebate at the end of the year. Mr. Rosengren
stated that he would like to see gas pumps installed at the new building to elimi-
nate carrying credit cards, etc.
The Clerk asked the Council about the trailer in the Lakeview area; Mr. Myhre informed
that the trailer had been moved as soon as the letter was received.
Mr. Cardinal mentioned that the P&Z had talked about fines for people who move in
trailers without a permit. Mr. Jaworski stated that as a misdemeanor they could
be fined up to $300.00.
Mr. Jaworski asked Mr. Backlin about rims for the tractor; these have been ordered.
Mr. Jaworski also mentioned that he had stopped at Anoka international and found
that the brooms for the Low -Boy were not available. Mr. Rosengren mentioned one
that he had been advertised in the paper.
Mr. Backlin stated that he would like to see a small fund set aside so that when
the men cannot charge an item but must pay cash they could be reimbursed immediately.
Mr. Rosengren moved that a $50.00 special cash fund for Roads and Bridges be set
aside by the Clerk for her to use at her discretion for reimbursements.
