46
Mr. L'Allier reported that he had talked to Mr. Braastad who had agreed to let us
stay in the building as long as necessary. Mr. Braastad had requested that we give
him a 60-day notice when we will move. A new gas furnance had been installed in
the building the previous Friday.
Mr. Gotwald had nothing else to report.
Mr. Locher stated that the insurance policy from the St. Paul Water Dept. on the
Baldwin Lake property had finally come through - -it had bogged down in the computer.
The Clerk asked Mr. Locher whether the letter on the municipal court property had
been received and was told no. However, he had received a call and was told the
date for bids was Jan. 30.
Mr. Gotwald presented a copy of a letter from Suburban Engineering to Mr. Gere
of the Conservation Dept. on the first readings of the wells and borings in
Reshanau Lake. Mr. Bohjanen wished to have copies made for the Council.
Mr. L'Allier referred again to the statement brought up by Mrs. Bohjanen on the
complaint. He felt that the matter was nothing momentus, that feelings had been
hurt on both sides, but this was no reasion to drqp it out at a Council meeting.
The parties involved should sit down with the Mayor or Council and discuss it. If
they did not feel that the matter had been rectified then, they could bring it out
in the open. He thought it only fair that it not become a public matter and was
willing to go along to settle it in private.
Mrs. Bohjanen stated that she considered it a public matter since it was on tape.
She had admitted that 3 or 4 cards had been turned over in one file and felt it
was nothing to complain about. Mr. L'Allier stated that it was part of the Clerk's
job to take care of the files and that the matter had been brought up in private.
Mrs. Bohjanen asked when we were going to get the tape recorder. Mr. L'Allier
answered that some things take time and other things are more pressing.
Mr. Bohjanen moved to pay the bills as audited. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Carried.
Mr. Bohjanen moved to adjourn at 11:08. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier.
